The knights find out about this and confront him and at one point percival guards the door and merlins like "You don't have to do that i know i can't leave" then percivals like "Im not doing it to keep you in. I'm doing it to stop others form coming in" or something. i'm pretty sure there is 2 chapters and its on a031! Lancelot is also alive in this one!! Thank you so much!!

It leaves Merlin spiraling and Arthur to deal with the heart of Camelot, his heart, to deal with it.

Hello, I lost a fic that I read less than 1 year ago. I was wondering if you know of it
It's a fic where Merlin is on his way to leave camelot in the middle of the night but right before that he goes in the throne room and create an illusion so he can see at least once ‘what-they-could-have-been’ (him and arthur as equal and magic free again) & arthur who felt that something was ‘wrong’ and came rushing in the corridor, sees that illusion and manage to convince merlin to stay.
It was complet, I think I recall it was one single chapter and it wasn't long

As soon as training ended, he was going to drag Merlin from whatever God-forsaken task he was doing, and force him to sit and talk so that he could finally explain to him what was wrong. Or: Gwaine is worried about Merlin and wants to talk. Luckily, Merlin seems to be ready to finally share.
