Unused Miko portraits from Hopeless Masquerade

I've searched all story mode and VS mode dialogues but couldn't find these 4 portraits used anywhere. Please note that while the facial expressions of the bottom two portraits are used in certain dialogues, these particular 2 portraits do not seem to appear anywhere (the text on Miko's headphones is different depending on the mirroring of the portrait).

dont store a knife with the point facing down, it damages the blade. no, dont do that either. when you store it with the point facing up you might accidentally hurt yourself when you try to grab it. dont store a knife at all actually. your blade must never leave your hand, always ready, ruthless and waiting. you know deep down that ever since you learned the stench of blood you will never be able to cast it aside. or just get a sheath for it i guess.

The only thing I can think about with the Koumakyou news is how the new era of fan content will look, and whether or not it'll be accessible to the ENG audience...

I don't have a good pulse on what the early era of EoSD content look like, but I do wonder if there'll be even levels of accessibility or if fanon interpretations will change compared to the early iterations of EoSD fanon when the game first came out.

#I wonder too #but to be honest I feel that the people who engage in the story will probably have similar #thoughts and interpretations of the characters #as is seen in the many years of the past interpretations #however i do feel like #considering how fandom has become in the English speaking world #there will be a lot of people who either don’t pay attention or don’t care #about any of the story or dialogue #or take character’s words too literally or in bad faith #especially since the way Touhou does storytelling #is rather subtle compared to other games #maybe im just doubtful but i feel little will really change

To be honest since we’re getting official eosd English I’m a bit worried that it’ll just reinforce the whole thing where a lot of people think Touhou begins and ends with eosd. I hope it does well enough that we at least get th7 as a release too maybe.

I guess I’m just tired of everyone I meet who knows Touhou saying their favorite character is “the one from bad apple” (they mean Flandre). Like I get it, she’s aesthetic or whatever, but man I wish people would even just look at th7????? Or any game other than eosd. Gah
