i cannot stress how much it does for us

a while ago, one of my mutuals was considering quitting writing. her fics weren’t doing as well, and the algorithm wasn’t favoring her writing like it used to.

so as a collective 10-15 writers, we all reblogged her fic once each. that alone put her writing at the top of the tag.

it makes a difference. way more than you think. it doesn’t matter if people see it because of you, it still gets promoted by the algorithm.

Another silly burn to have as a coaster in my office.

After a two+ month break due to moving, I decided to make a simple burn to get back into it. Purposefully messed up on the practice and makes to make it look like skill progression. The mistakes on the progress (mainly first r) are just me.

I will add some sort of background eventually, but this was a good short project to get back into it.

Current commission WIP - Spirited Away cutting board. Finally finished line art and next it’ll be time for lots of shading. This is my biggest piece yet (12x16) and I might add more background pieces (e.g. picture frame and a hanging plant), but fairly happy with progress so far,

Finally done. This is probably the piece that has taken me the longest so far. Happy with how it came out. Nausicca looks a little dark in photos, but good in person. The dust cloud might be my favorite part. But let me know what you think :)

Still not done with the Nausicca cutting board since life’s been hectic, but nearly there. Messed up shading an eye, but the fun of burning is that you can’t erase, so I have to live with it.

Still want to add detail to the sand and cloud and then maybe add a cloud or two in the top left.

Sneak peak at my next big piece. That is my pinkie for scale, so you’ll have to forgive the lack of details.

Another pitou piece. I replaced kites head with an apple as a joke. First piece after a month off due to irl demands, so I’m glad to be back at it. Might add more detail to the tree or pond, but done for the moment.
