would shinji be upset if Asuka died? Or would he just be like ; "oh." i mean, Asuka has treated Shinji so badly from time to time , even though we know she had her reasons.
Shinji would definitely miss Asuka if she died.Via the original series, while afraid of her, Shinji still admired her. When Asuka went into her coma when your synchronization scores plummeted, Shinji visited her in the hospital (End of Evangelion). When faced with death, he cried out for her (âAsuka, help meâ) and was even reprimanded for âwanting to hide behind the skirts of a girl at a time like thisâ by Misato. During Instrumentality, the only memory he seemed to have issues fusing away from was when confronted with her after Kajiâs death when he accused her of not helping him and she said it was up to him. Even though they had their differences, Asuka was someone Shinji wanted to similar to â- although their personalities clashed giving them a constant, abusive tension.The Rebuilds of Evangelion give us a new Asuka to work with (Shikinami instead of Soryu) and Shinji still looks to her for help, although this relationship is less sexual. When Asuka tested the new Unit (04?) and was tainted by an Angel, Shinji still didnât want to defeat her because Asuka was inside and tried to stop his father from issuing the switching over of controls to the Dummy System based after Rei II (You Can (NOT) Advance). 14 years later when heâd awoken from his Berserk induced coma, he was beside himself to see Asuka alive although she was less than thrilled to see him alive (although this time in the opening battle, she was seen asking Shinji for his help similar to the End of Evangelion scene where Shinji begs Asuka to wake up) [You Can (NOT) Redo].
