       She was trapped under rubble, swallowing hard. The pain was excruciating.

 Cynthia gave a nod before raising her hands toward the rubble. Her fingers began to move as if she were typing on a keyboard. This behavior continued for a good three minutes before she stopped. The AI stepped over and placed her hand on each piece of debris. One by one they were all transferred into digital information within her being until the woman was freed.

 “Anything else I can do?”

Manea narrowed her eyes. There was irony found in the Gall comment. The woman before her, the Queen of Blades as she was called, was a unique being. Her biological make up roused hints of being human, but other things as well. Unidentifiable genetic code. 

 “Information. I wish to request information on what you and your kind are. Your species is new to my own and as Queen it falls to me to identify if a species may pose a threat to the safety of mine.” The organic robot explained. “I can offer my own information in return. A fair deal?”

—≪🍂≫”Um… Excuse me, the last I checked I was alone here? Keep startling people and you might just find a knife in your back.”

 “If that could kill me perhaps it’d give me something to look forward to.” Cynthia answered. “I apologize for scaring you, I felt you could use some companionship.”

 The same could be said for the AI. The poor girl was lonesome after having been so alone in this universe for hundreds of years.

—≪☕≫”You… Are truly extraordinary. Please.. Tell me more about yourself.”

 Cynthia seated herself on nothing but air while offering a coy smile. She had only recently displayed her ability to connect to the Enterprise, though she made it well known that nothing would be done outside of her light show. The ship had intercepted her travel and thus downloaded the AI into its mainframe.

 “My name is Cynthia.” The AI began. “I was once a human, born in... I’m sorry for the pause. In my travels I’ve learned that there are many things I know that must be kept behind closed doors.” Cynthia apologized. “I was born a human girl with cybernetic implants. Eventually I became what you see now. Though I’ve at least one secret I will freely reveal.”

 The blond lowered herself to the ground. For now it at least looked like she was standing, but a point was made by sticking her foot through the floor. Afterwards Cynthia returned to standing properly before her digital form swapped to solid matter. Once more her point was proven by a couple of light taps with her foot to produce sound.

 “I’m as flesh and blood as I deem necessary.”

 “Studying.” Manea replied in a matter-of-fact tone. “You’re rare for a human. At least compared to the ones I’ve met.”

 Granted most of Manea’s experience with humans was purely war and suffering based, but that didn’t change the fact that humans were still a moral gray area for her.

“Why not? Will something terrible happen?” The blond inquired.

 Currently she was outside of any machines and was walking around as if she were human again. A curious one had caught her attention and the remark had been made as she was about to touch one oft he many screens.

      The accident had taken so much from her. She was lucky to be alive… As evident by how long the coma was. All of the research and time and money… It was all worth it now.

      “I’m here for you… We’re, here for you.”

     A hand went to gently rest upon their daughter’s head.

 A lot of damage? So not just her hand? Selena was starting to worry far more. Jayce was right though Selena needed to keep calm. She couldn’t let one of the first times Luna saw her be of her panicking.

 “You’re right. For all of us I need to keep calm.” She agreed. “It isn’t just my hand is it?” It was now that she finally completed her previous intended action of gently stroking Luna’s cheek with a few of her fingers. “Have you been a good girl for your father?”

—≪♟≫ “Oh… Alright. My name is Ezreal. It’s a pleasure to meet you. Wait… Why do I feel like I’m just repeating things now…”

     Blush he did indeed, although if questioned about it, he’d deny it at every turn.

 “You said that already.” Selena answered with a light giggle. “You’re cute when you’re caught off guard, but I suppose you’d already know that.”

 She couldn’t help but tease him. Ezreal was a prime target for a little fun, nothing harmful, just more playful teasing.

—≪🔨≫ “Yes, yes she is. The only defect she has is a dwarf ear. We don’t even know if that was because of your condition, though.”

     He stood, turning to the doorway.

     “Sweetheart, Mama’s awake. Do you want to see her?”

     An eager nod, as the little girl raced over. He helped her crawl up onto the side of the bed, smiling at her.

      “Papa kissed you and woke you up! Just like the fairy tales!”

     If only it had been that easy. When Luna had originally asked him if Selena would wake with a kiss just like Sleeping Beauty… He had told her he would have already kiss her a thousand times over if it would bring her back to him.

A smile grew on Selena’s face. They had never fully agreed on a name for their child, but Luna was a name they both did like and had considered it as an option. It made her so happy that in her coma Jayce had gone with the only name they had really agreed on while waiting for her to wake up.

 “Papa wasn’t the only reason I woke up dear.” Selena answered with a smile. “I so desperately wanted to see my little girl too.”

 Selena now raised her left arm up to pat Luna’s head. It was then she was able to see what had happened. How half way down her forearm the skin looked the same, but upon closer inspection it could be seen that it was fake. When she willed it the fingers flexed so they were connected to her nerves. 

 “Jayce... Was this a part of the accident..?” Selena asked as a nervousness set into her tone.

—≪🔨≫ “Sweetheart… You’ve been asleep for four and a half years… There was an accident on our honeymoon.”

      He leaned in, kissing her forehead. It took everything he had not to just immediately cling to her.

     “Papa… Are you okay?”

     A small child appeared at the doorway, clinging to a teddy bear.

     “Luna… It’s alright, don’t worry.”

 Four and a half years? Some accident happened that put her to sleep for so long? What had happened? The more she tried to think on it, the more of a headache Selena would get.

 Her mind was pulled back from her attempts to remember by the voice of a child. A young girl.

 Papa..?

 It clicked. She had tested positive for pregnancy during their honeymoon.

 “The little girl... Is she ours my love..? Is our daughter, is our little Luna okay..? She wasn’t born with defects because of this was she?” Selena asked as worry overtook her tone. “Did I ruin her life..?”

    He jumped up from his chair, snatching the papers from his forehead that had stuck there in his sleeping. He rushed over to her, but not before tripping over the stool he had been sitting on in his haste. He clutched her hand, holding it up to his cheek, tears already streaming down his face.

     “My Diamond… You’ve returned to me?”

“Returned..?” She asked slightly confused. “Darling, what do you mean?” 

With what her will could muster right now Selena gently and slowly stroked his cheek. She could see the emotional pain in his eyes and in the wear on his face. What had happened to put her poor husband into such a state? Her mind went back to the sound of his stumble from before.

 “Are you all right?”

Selena had been in a coma for four and a half years. A terrible accident had befallen the Piltovian woman, leaving her husband to care for her and their eventual child as one of their nights of passion had resulted in pregnancy. In her slumber she knew nothing of what had changed in these past four and a half years, of the child she bore, of her husband or the prosthetic limbs she now had on three limbs.

 She had slumbered so peacefully all this time, dreaming pleasant dreams. The dormant bride was blissfully unaware of the world around her, but something miraculous was about to happen. Slowly her eyes fluttered open. Selena blinked a few times. Her neck was stiff as she turned her head to look about. This was their bedroom, the room they’d shared before the honeymoon. How did she get here? She went to move her body and found it to be a little too heavy. Why was she feeling so weak?”

 “...ayce!” Selena called weakly. She took a deep breath before trying again. “Jayce!” She called again, hoping for him to hear her. Selena couldn’t bring herself to move very much or well.

—≪🌹≫ “You’re behaving well… Like a bitch, for a lack of a better word. You even made Elise cry earlier when she tried to give you her newest creation. I’ve never seen you quite like this unless Iago got on your bad side.”

    She was about ready to make her go back to sleep.

 “I see.”

 Oh how Manea wanted to be snippy, but Camilla had a fair point. Recently she had been fairly terrible, and yes making Elise cry was a bit much. As was violently tearing the poor blonde’s gift to shreds. None of it had the robotic queen in the right at all.

 What had caused her to be this way? She started her morning with Iago proposing that the might of her kingdom be united with that of Nohr through her marrying either Garon or one of his sons. An idea she was none too keen on. Which she made clear by threatening to break the already flimsy peace treaty.

 “Iago did get on my bad side.” She confirmed. “He proposed the idea that I marry one of your brothers or your father. All to cement the might of the union of our kingdoms.” There was a huff that followed her words. “I told him right where he could shove his ideas and where I’d shove a weapon.” Manea finished before finally softening her tone. “I’m sorry. Advisers like him are why I don’t have any. They get under my skin. I’ll have to apologize to Elise when I can find her again.”

She shied away from the offered hand. Manea had told her the story of her people. The Rondemera, a half organic, half mechanical race that sought to conquer every corner of the world. She had no want to pull her people into such a conflict.

“I have no reason to believe that the moment my guard is relaxed, you won’t turn on me and destroy my country. Manea, we’ve barely met. I’ve hardly a mind to trust you. Could I even trust you?”

 “Conquest does not mean entirely by force.” Manea answered. “Yes, I seek to bring the universe under my rule, but not every world has to be brought to its knees.”

 Luxanna had every right to fear her and the possibility of being stabbed in the back. She even was right to not trust her. After all she’d only met the alien Queen a few days ago. The whole reason she was out with her plans from the get go was to give peace a chance. It’d failed so many times before so Manea whole-heartedly expect it to fail and for war to break loose.

“You’re right to carry suspicion and cast doubt.” Manea stated. “I was merely trying things the peaceful way. If you’d prefer violence I would not turn down a declaration of war. As for your correction on my use of the word union... I supposed I’ll sustain the word choice.”

 That was her attempt at teasing Lux with the joke that essentially said ‘fine, marry me’. Even if it was just terrible taste in humor.

—≪🌹≫ “Well um… Thank you very much. To be honest, I’m far from being the straightest arrow, in fact I’m curved like more like my axe.”

     She hugged her tighter, nuzzling against her form. She was kind, far too kind for what hell she had been put through.

 “I’ll let you in on a small secret.” Selena whispered into the hug. “Quite a few of our maids helped me learn and explore myself after I get like this. They’ve done a lot to boost my confidence and honestly? It got me thinking women were the way to go.” She admitted with a giggle.

 It was a hard time for Selena when she was still adjusting. Her father made her feel like she was physically worthless to a man. If not for the few maids she asked to privately help her get over that feeling she’d probably still be a bit emotionally broken. They had done things like help her figure out how to undress or dress herself with only the one good arm, figure out ways to provide self relief in ways unexpected and even at times simply gave her moral and emotional support. She’d miss them dearly now that they could never be seen again.

 “Thanks for listening to my gripes Princess Camilla.” She thanked in whispered words.

    Luckily with her mini teleporter, she was quite far away from the site of the heist. She currently sat crossed legged, electronics all around her as she tried to figure out what made this cube tick. 

“Of course someone with great athletic ability is the one to snatch my entire identity.” Katherine grumbled.

 She continued to follow the signal while also still constantly grumbling and griping.

 Meanwhile from all of the tinkering the Persona Cube began to flash and beep. Not in the ways of an alarm or siren, but rather all she had done was get Katherine’s paused music player going again.

    An ever present smirk. She honestly didn’t know what to do with her, did she?

No. Clearly she won’t shut it. At all. After having her attempt to get Sombra to stop only ended up backfiring.

 While grumbling to herself the Queen returned her lips to the only thing worth kissing. Her coffee cup.

 “So how long will you continue to humiliate me?” She whispered, still fairly embarrassed.
