there's no lore here but i guess when i was drawing i kind of based it off of my pre-existing mafia au for akiangel

i love WOOMA's mvs so much BRO they're so good i aooaojhgnm....... i have been like. listening to kilmer on repeat for 3 days straight, specifically the yuu miyashita cover CUZ IT'S ABSOLUTE HEAT everyone should listen to kilmer NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

angry expressions are my favourite ones to draw because the face lines... the anger lines... ough so delicious.. i don't know.... give them all period cramps

hanamiki flower shop au…!! rambles and lore under cut (there’s not much right now though)

my idea for this au was that tsumiki runs a flower shop with megumi, which hana stumbles into one day. i don’t think she likes tsumiki at the start, it’s more like a “oh, she’s kind of pretty and nice” kind of thing; the sort of admiration you’d have for a pretty stranger you see. but i think hana really enjoys the atmosphere of the shop and eventually starts going there more often…!!

the drawing in the top left is sort of how i imagine the shop to look like..? it’s small and has plants lined up on the windows. i think tsumiki would put a lot of care into its appearance, she likes to decorate and things like that. there’s also hanging flower pots and stars/flowers and things of the like because i think it’s cute :3 i think it’d be a bit reminiscent of the cosiness of some of those cool crystal shops.

tsumiki works full-time and i think megumi only works part-time because he goes to uni. speaking of, they’d be aged up in this au..! megumi is like mid 20s…? hana is the same age as megumi. and tsumiki is a year or two older than both of them.

i don’t know what their sexualities/romantic orientation would be, but obviously hanamiki are lesbian together. they all give pansexual/panromantic vibes to me gaaah…

HIII you clicked on the under cut. i decided to make one because i really want to talk about the episode but i feel like if i just added a huge chunk of text below the artwork it would ruin the vibes. because this artwork is pretty heavy on the vibes. like i even have the cool ass title woah so professional i know.

ANYWAYS maki’s episode is so peak i love mai and maki’s relationship so much, and it always makes me so like. amazed at gege’s writing because a lot of the things in the culling games HAVE EXPOSITION FROM THE PREVIOUS CHAPTERS/SEASONS. so nothing ever really feels out of place. i think we should glaze gege more #STOP THE SLANDER THAT’S MY GOAT

the beach scene was so pretty, it really stuck out to me in contrast with the other scenes in the episode. i’m also just a sucker for beach scene (cough akiangel cough denreze) because it has like a certain melancholy and silence. the one thing about this season is that it seems they’re going all in on symbolism and creating the right vibes. it feels more like an adaptation of jjk if you get what i mean. the colour design, the focus on seemingly irrelevant objects or scenes… it’s so peak… this shit is so peak…

talking about symbolism, i really liked the geese. goose. gooses. geese. my first initial thought was it was meant to reference the whole “going south” thing.. ya know dying without regrets and ALL THAT. but IT’S ACTUALLY REFERENCING THE NAME OF THE ARC TOO AND THAT’S SO COOOOLLLL… gege your mind is so big…

also the kitchen scene genuinely got me because of the CONTRAST I LOVE CONTRAST RAAUUUGHHHH the contrast between the warmth and normalcy of “home” with the cooking on the stove and maki’s whole character having just massacred a whole bunch of zenins + with her weapon in hand yelling “okaasan” MAKES ME SICK. BAUEHFBJFJNFJD

i watch in sub, and i really really REALLY love the direction they took with maki’s voice. it reminds me a lot of megumi. it’s kind of mature, but it still retains a youthfulness and kind of lingering childness. IF YOU GET WHAT I MEAN. IT’S SO COOL FACK.

highkey my favourite episode of the season right now (i’m saying this BECAUSE I CAN FEEL THE #COOKING ON THE MEGUMI DOMAIN SCENES) i love jjk i love maki i love megumi i love gege i love life life is so worth it jjk fridays are my reason to live LET’S ALL HOLD HANDS AND HEAL THE WORLD WITH THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP
