Gene tightened his jaw. This man was irritating.
"If I wanted to tell you what happened to me then I would, don't you think? Since you're so smart." Gene leaned on his left leg and put his free hand on his hip.
He tried to ignore the fact that his stomach was gurgling, his body was weakening, and his primal instinct was rising like a large ocean wave, threatening to cause damage. He almost wanted to throw down his axe and use his sharp mantis appendages and fangs to gash and tear apart his target. He knew better, though. The axe was part of his strategy.
The aforementioned instinct and hunger suddenly took over. Gene refused to consider what this draw towards the other was now. Though the strange feelings Gene has towards Will were prominent, he decided he couldn't stay any longer. He needed to get away. If that threatening display wasn't enough to get him to run, then he needed to leave himself, one way or another.
"One of us is doing some sort of job, the other is trying to eat. To be honest, I don't think the playing ground is pretty even here. Besides, I think I'm done toying with you. If you really care, you'd come after me. If you don't, I'm sure we'll meet again,"
The bug quickly turned around and sprinted towards the isolated cabin where his dinner lay.
