It’s the end of the day and it’s time to unwind. With the weather being as cold as it is, there is nothing better than hot cocoa at the end of the day. I usually make my own because I think charging $5 for a cup of hot chocolate is ridiculous. So I thought I would share some of my secret ingredients!

I would not recommend using all of these ingredients at once but I always use a little bit of cream to make it taste nice and rich.

Salted caramel: Adding a little bit of salted caramel can make it a bit sweeter and the salty perk is perfect! For this one, a little bit goes a long way.

Marsh mellows and graham crackers: If you like s’mores, you have to try this! It’s the common marsh mellow extra with a little something else. Put marsh mellows in the cup but the crackers around the rim. When you do that you get a little bit of crunch.

Espresso: Adding a little bit of espresso can give your hot cocoa a little kick. It gives it a rich mocha taste. I use just a little bit of this too because I want to be able to taste the chocolate.

Vanilla, cinnamon and brown sugar: Cook these little extras into your drink and it will really enhance the flavor of the chocolate by sweetening and spicing it.

Peppermint sticks and whipped cream: I obviously love peppermint, so I had to suggest this!

Replace that bag of potato chips with kale chips! You will need: Olive oil Salt Fresh bushel of kale To make: 1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees 2. Cut kale and add olive oil and salt 3. Put in oven for 10 minutes then flip the kale 4. Repeat 3 once 5. Enjoy!

Rush can be one of the most stressful times of your life but, if you go in prepared, it can be fun and a great way to meet and connect with different people. So don't freak out, I've put together some Do's and Dont's for what to talk about while going through rush.

DO's:

1. BE YOURSELF

2. The houses you like, make sure to express to them how much you like the house and that you could see yourself living there.

3. Talk about their philanthropy and the events they throw to raise money.

4. Talk about the house itself: house size, how old it is, and traditions at the house.

DONT's:

1. Talk about other sororities or fraternaties.

2. Talk about partying or going out.

3. Talk about boyfriends.

4. Cuss.

5. If you are wearing a watch, make sure not to check it while walking into the house or while talking to any of the girls.
