Racism

On February 15, 2011 I was put on administrative leave the next day after sending this email to Lois Witty of THR. I was subsequently threatened with a lawsuit if I did not resign. " @ Let this email serve as notice that I believe you have created a hostile work environment by remarks and acts that have caused severe stress on me and that I have deemed racially discriminatory. I will continue to work for THR/Physerve but let me reiterate the significance of this email - it is to serve as a notice in how I feel and what I believe. I hope there is no adverse action taken because of my notice. I will deem adverse employment action as retaliatory. Thank you. Also, please give copy of this email to Dr. A* and Dr. G*"

Funding for Free Medical Clinic Difficult to Obtain

I’m having a difficult time obtaining funding for a free clinic. The funding would pay for staff, equipment, and leasing of property. At a loss right now.

Studying OPP

Osteopathic principles and practices are something DO students go through as part of their training to become osteopathic physicians. I believe that anything I can do to help a patient is worthwhile; that doesn’t mean that I have to completely believe in it though. As a PA-C, I worked with a Mexican American physician named Dr. Salinas who used his palpatory skills (a MD no less) to help his patients cope with stress. He gave lots of trigger point injections for pains and stress. The patients loved him for it. He had and still has a large following. He also charged lots of money for these injections and manipulations. I will now begin studying for a test I have on Monday.
