After books, music is the next target for Anna's Archive.
Sounds good this, but can someone explain the significance to an idiot?
For me Spotify hordes loads of music and makes us pay to rent it. It's a scam. Capitalism not even offering ownership anymore.
The pragmatic need for a global cultural archive stems from the acute vulnerability of our collective legacy. The historical loss of the Library of Alexandria exemplifies this permanent cultural catastrophe. Today, the reality is that our commercial systems are often failures of preservation; countless paintings, comics, songs, films, and books survive only through scattered, pirated copies. These unauthorized versions have become an unlikely savior, filling the void after original works were lost to corporate greed, institutional neglect, or simple oversight. To prevent our entire heritage from becoming "lost media," a protected, non-comprehensive archive is a practical necessity for human civilization.
Copying and sharing is preserving.
