Summary

In a matter of seconds, music begun to play. But it wasn’t any of the songs the Weird Sisters played. It was the Macarena.

“FUCK YEAH!” she heard a muggleborn shout from the crowd.

“What did you do?” George asked her with astonishment in his eyes.

“Probably the best thing I’ll ever do,” she smiled brightly and started to run to the dance floor. “Come on!” She yelled back at him. “Lucy and I gotta teach you and your brother the Macarena!”

She knew that her and George will likely get a detention for technically harassing the Weird Sisters and for tampering with the music, but that was a problem for the future. For now, everyone, Dumbledore included, seemed to enjoy the sudden change in music.

summary:

“I’m sorry,” he snorted again, “it’s really not that funny…I was worried at first but now thinking about it,” he started laughing harder, “imagine how bloody ridiculous you looked getting thrown in the air!” His voice got higher as he was speaking through a laugh and now Maya had started wheezing as well. Her ribs ached from her fall, but she couldn’t stop.

It was the kind of laughter one gets when no sound comes out except snorts and the struggle to gasp for air. Each time there was a snort they would laugh harder.

To an outside viewer, this scene may look strange and far from perfect. A girl in a hospital bed with a possible concussion and her friend sitting next to her with a restless face from lack of sleep and hair wild. But to Maya, it was perfect.

Fred grinned at him. “Yes of course.” He began to write on the chalk board. When he finished, the words Aging Potion was written very largely across the entire board.

“Did you have to write it out?” Maya raised an eyebrow.

“Yes, it adds effect,” Fred said as if it was obvious.

“But you could have just said it,” Lucy said, trying not to laugh.

“Can I just have my moment please?” Fred cried.

“Yes, yes, sorry go ahead,” Lucy gestured for him to continue.

“Aging potion!” Fred and George announced at the same time.

Both Maya and Lucy stood up and clapped and cheered dramatically.

“Genius!” Lucy hollered.

“Outstanding!” Maya yelled, wiping a fake tear.

He scoffed. “I’ll have you know that I am not enjoying this book at all, I was just curious. But now after reading a bit, I’m extremely confused.”

“Confused?” she asked and looked at the book again. It was an old copy of Lord of the Flies, but the book shouldn’t have been confusing.

“Yeah!” George exclaimed, “I thought this book was going to be about some massive fly tormenting little children! So far there’s just some pricks running around an island and some loser named Piggy!”

Maya erupted into a fit of laughter. George just stared at her, now even more confused.

“You moron,” Maya managed in between laughs, “the title is just symbolism! Who would write a book about a giant fly?”

“I would!” George argued, but started to laugh. “Symbolism is stupid, a fly would be much more entertaining.”

Maya sighed. “I can’t! It’s the first lesson, how would it look if I ditched the first lesson with her? She’d think I’m irresponsible.”

“So?” Fred asked, as if being seen as irresponsible wasn’t a big deal.

“So,” she glared at him, “I can’t miss this lesson. It’ll probably only be an hour at most.”

Lucy groaned and gave her friend a pleading look. “Maya, you can’t leave me alone with these two.”

Maya laughed. “Sorry, you’ll have to manage for an hour.”

“You can’t walk. I’m going to take you to the hospital wing, but I’ll have to carry you. Is that okay?”

‘Just George’ she thought. ‘He’s good, he won’t hurt me. He gives good hugs.’

She nodded and George started to pick her up again. He started walking her to the hospital wing, making sure no one was around, though he didn’t care about getting caught that much at the moment.

Maya could barely keep her eyes open; she was exhausted.

“You’re warm,” she muttered, her head lolling back. She felt George’s chest laugh, but she had no control of her words and kept going. “You give good hugs too…”

“You’re gonna forget all this in the morning,” George chuckled, shaking his head.

“I hope so,” she said, then passed out.

“Hogwarts isn’t safe this year,” George said, trying to stay calm. “You, Lucy, and all the other muggleborns are at risk. Sneaking around the castle just isn’t safe for you guys.”

“Okay, but if I’m not alone I should be fine!” Maya reasoned. “Besides! If we go, whatever I find out might help the situation, so no one is in danger!”

George looked at Fred and Lucy for help, but when Maya has her mind made up, there is no changing it.

“Fine, but not now. We should wait a bit. After Christmas,” George concluded, staring into Maya’s eyes as if daring her to fight back.

She stared back, she wanted to do this now to fix everything now. It’s her fault for not seeing Justin in her vision. She should have looked harder. She had to fix this problem as soon as possible. But George wasn’t going to argue on this.

Maya sighed in defeat. “Fine, after Christmas.”
