After a long recovery, last fall I found myself overwhelmed by shame (not the doctors' fault, mind you; my brain just decided that it was my time, I guess 🤷). I've always been proud and satisfied with my scars (and I've always found other people's scars attractive), and I didn't understand where all that shame came from. Maybe it's hard to remain proud of something that scares (and sometimes even disgusts) people. But I don't care. These scars are mine, they're part of my identity, and I love them. They're here on purpose.

(Of course, anyone who wants to remove them has every right to do so and it is valid; this is just my very personal experience!)

GORGEOUS ART!!! LOVEEE THE USE OF THE BLOOD!!!!! Gets me thinking now about the meaning of the blood placements in the actual movie! (Spoilers under the cut)

I mean with Marta's being on her shoes (taking into account her mom is undocumented so they have to lay low- that includes a lot of hiding and running I guess whether metaphorically and literally, yet she never hesitates to run and help anyone like meg, or Fran).

Helen's being over her heart (she's very soft at first, but is actually a very bold and headstrong person, she and her sister grew up caring about the well being of the world and stuff with her sisters diary being for future... Forgot what she said but future entrepreneurs maybe? And Helen herself being a teacher).

Ntm with Jud and his hands (I mean Jesus died on the cross with his hands nailed to it, and Jud being a former boxer and having killed a man in the ring, so his whole spiel about taking in people with open arms rather than fists in the air, rather than jumping straight into being defensive, and also he's pretty physical with people like reassuring them with gentle touches and stuff and the way he cradled martha as he absolved her)...

Might be a pointless ramble but AGHH I LOVE THIS TRILOGY!! WONDERFUL ART, OP!!!!
