SOOOOOOO In a land of myth, and a time of magic two Kingdoms (Sun Kingdom and Moon Kingdom) to keep peace decide to to arrange marriage between them. Their second borns are perfect for it ( no matter the gender first borns have rights to throne, so Clea and Emma (she is just a few minutes older)). They decide to marry them when both of them will be 26. They never meet. Sun Prince was born with weak body and no one wants to risk anything. Years pass. Just after his 26 birthday Verso decides to go on a trip to Sun Kingdom incognito to see who his weakling of a future husband is. There are still have few months before wedding (because Sun prince is a summer child). And that's where he meets Gustave. Ray of sunshine that helps everyone in a village with his magic and of course Verso falls for him. Fuck Sun Prince he's going to marry Gustave. Just before summer starts Verso ask Gustave to run away with him, but Gustave refuses:

" I told you Verso, I'm betrothed. No matter how much I want it...how much I want you... Verso, I have obligations towards my family."

"Fuck obligations, fuck whoever your parents force you to marry. Gustave just go with me. We will find some place beyond Kingdoms here, we will travel and no one will find us. Please."

"I can't...I really can't..." Tears start to fall down Gustave's cheeks and Verso knows Gustave won't change his mind.

"I...understand...can you give me this night at least..."

"Of course"

Verso goes back to his Kingdom there's no need to runaway...not without Gustave. From what he gathered during his trip Sun prince is just boring, weak bookworm not leaving palace at all.

Summer comes. Wedding is planned day after Sun prince birthday and Moon Kingdom is invited at Birthday Ball. There is some other misunderstandings during the Ball but imagine their surprise when they figure out that they ARE engaged. It would be easier if both of them didn't lie and told the other the truth but they had to suffer alone for weeks. They never go easy way right?🤣

Summary:

She was going to Gommage. She had failed, and she was going to pay for it with her life.She couldn’t save Lumière. She couldn’t save her friends… She couldn’t save— “Gustave?!”

When Gustave wakes to find Lumière decimated and his friends beaten and bruised, his first instinct is to run to the sound of Maelle’s voice calling his name; her cries like a battering ram to his fragile heart, smashing it to pieces. He doesn’t know how he’s alive, or why. But when he tries to hug her — to hold his darling girl in his arms — she collapses. And that’s when he realizes something is very wrong.

TLDR; Gustave was revived in Act III but something went horribly wrong.

Verso liked being watched.

Through viewfinders, on billboards, or on the spreads in the magazines; Verso loved being seen. Observed.

But all the eyes in the world weren't worth his, Verso's little secret admirer, who preferred to shoot through telescopic sights, not cameras, and in public, instead of private.

Verso would love to be his, to only be seen by him and him alone, to have his eyes focused only on him. Alas, his secret admirer was an elusive man, one who spent his life on rooftops, among gargoyles, one who welcomed the darkness of the night, and one who always watched but never shot.

Verso has been shot many times; in the mornings, for GQ, at noon for Vanity Fair, and in the evening for Men's Health. He was no stranger to the feeling of someone else's eyes on him. Just on him.

So when he felt it, as he made his way across the street, with his sister on his arm, Verso was delighted. A bloom opened in his chest, filling every available space with soft petals and the delicate smell of spring.

Verso looked up, his sister walked forward. It was a day like any other, quiet but full of appointments. On a skyscraper nearby, so high that it almost touched the clouds, a light shone like the reflection of a diamond. There.

Verso smirked, pleased beyond himself to be observed by the most important man in the world. And he liked to think that the man smiled in turn, as he saw Verso through his scope.

"Hello," Verso says slowly, every letter a move of his lips, knowing the other man can read it. "Dinner?"

A shot sounds in the intersection, scaring some pigeons nearby. For a heartbeat, Verso thinks the bullet lodged itself into his chest, painting his suit with a red too ferocious for a first date, but as the world calms down around him, he notices a bit of smoke coming out of a sign across the street.

See the world through new eyes. with the 'yes' a perfect, round bullet hole. Verso laughs to himself. What a ridiculous man he fell for.
