I’ve been doing digital art for many years but art block hits bad so it’s only recently I’ve been drawing more this year \(◦'⌣'◦)/

I like to listen to music ! I used to be in choir during school and even joined a musical performance (in ensemble though, I dislike being on the spotlight).

I do occasionally sing for fun ^^

I am aroace ! It finally clicked in three years ago for me jajaja. It’s a funny story ┐(´∀｀)┌

I’m an introvert. It’s easier to talk on the internet, but I have a low social battery.

I used to be fluent in (Mexico) Spanish but being in a dominant English language country made me forget a lot of my vocabulary. I’m still trying to regain it back but I can mostly understand it if there’s no slang involved lol.

Making an Effort

After realizing just how much Uranus has always wanted to be his friend, Saturn offers to spend more time with the ice giant to get to know him better.

When I did my "The Thing About Rings Is..." comic, I mentioned that Uranus and Saturn had a lot more to talk about than just Saturn's rings. This is (in part) what I meant, so I guess this is kind of a follow-up to that comic in a way.

I don't think Saturn has ever had bad intentions regarding his relationship with Uranus. He and Jupiter have just always been so wrapped up in each other and have been living in their own bubble; they never even realized how much Uranus wanted to befriend them and hang out with them. But as soon as Saturn realizes this, he does his best to repair the damage that's been done.

Ive been thinking abt Solarballs… as usual… its been on my mind for a while now but didnt get to draw it out until now. This is actually from Nichi’s idea of the planets actually going to a meeting room for planet meetings :D I’ll be rambling my ideas abt their meetings n such

Excuse the inaccurate heights LOL anyways my idea is that after Earth learns about how humans do meetings he proposes the idea to Sol which he agrees bc he finds it intriguing. They agreed to do it on Earth’s surface but first Earth has to find a place… and since it’s his surface he can do wtv he wants so he warped the land and trees (he’s in a forest, away from human civilization) to makeshift a shelter while also using other materials to make sure no breeze or rain enters.

Earth told Sun all abt the attire his humans wear to these meetings so now there’s a dress code for these meetings… The planets can alter the outfit Sol lend to them but not too much. The amount of change is restricted and must be approved by the Sun beforehand.

(After the Planet revolution and returning back home. Sol allows them to change the attire, as long as it’s formal and appropriate.)

Earth arranged the table and seats but it was Sol who made the seating chart.

The rocky planets are giddy abt the new setting and attire they will be wearing (more like Mercury and Mars are a bit nervous but curious while Venus dislikes the dress code). The Jovian planets are feeling kinda awkward because for so long they’ve only met up in space, never in Earth’s surface so this is a huge change to the norm they’ve gotten used to.

The meetings continue as usual C: oh also the planets can still use their powers while being on Earth’s surface. Totally not a hint onto what my next project will be….

I was suddenly revived while listening to 134340 by BTS. It’s about Pluto and how he got demoted from being a planet. I always loved hearing this song when it first came out C: especially this part.

There so much more I would love to ramble about but this part I wanna envision … Like Pluto is in orbit staring longingly where Sol is at. Also !! This would be before he accepted his new status as a Dwarf planet.

Pluto is looking bitter, curled up. Then in the second blue part, it would be zoomed out with all the asteroids around him, all dark…. Oh Pluto </33 brain can’t explain better but I yearn for this …

Here’s what I drew the past two days… Not Solarballs related.. my OC, Alice ^^ though I’m thinking of changing her name (for the nth time) I feel bad for never drawing her :[ I’ve been too focused on SB I abandoned her (just like her dad fr). And Canada !!! A lil something for Mathew since I drew Alfred :3

I’m setting up a commission sheet kinda… mostly for my friends who have expressed wanting to commission me. But this would be great practice to get myself drawing n being more social !

To be a lil honest, I’m not expecting much so I feel a little silly putting a lot of work on setting up Ko-Fi and making a commission sheet to promote it ^^; … it is a nice way to gain extra cash as someone who doesn’t have a job yet

For @itzzaira , a little something using the star hand gesture C: young Jupiter and Sun ! I was thinking of your fic, “Ozymandias” while drawing this out.

I was thinking, alongside with the pose, those with wings would display them elegantly when addressing to their star Cx also excuse the bad perspective since this is a rough sketch jajaja tried to clean the lines and colored it for Jupiter.

I haven’t thought about those with tails … I think they would keep it still and low

Carpal tunnel struck me once again.. which means I shall project this pain to Uranus since he’s an artist !

I imagine Uranus have drawn too much and suddenly felt a bad pain shoot through his wrist which he freaks out at first because he’s not injured !! All he’s been doing is drawing and making sculptures. He wait for a bit for the pain to go away before continuing and after a few times of this happening over the next few days it finally clicks that he must take a break in order for the pain to go away. He must be careful on how much time he should spend drawing. But it gets hard when there’s nothing to do, especially if Neptune isn’t around.

So he forgets about taking breaks and after the never ending cycle of trying to remember to take breaks, one day, the pain went up to his elbow this time. He drops his brush and grips his wrist because that actually hurts ! Really bad !! He tries to move his wrist to different angles to see if the pain eases but it doesn’t. He stays curled up holding his wrist hoping for the pain to go away but it persists for a few moments. He tries to hold his brush but it feels like a muscle is cramping up, or maybe it’s the nerve pinch ? He can’t tell but it hurts like hell. He decides to not pick up his brush for the next few days to let his arm rest and hopefully for the pain to go away…

He’s never felt this pain before. It’s kind of frightening. What if it never goes away ? Does he need to be more careful now ? What if it happens when he needs to use his bow ?? That can’t happen, it could put his moons in danger !

It took many hours before the pain went away (he kept trying to write in his diary to document this strange pain). He didn’t tell anymore. He couldn’t. It brings some shame to him to have this happen to him, how reckless he became. He knows asking Earth would give him a solution to this but that means crossing through Jupiter and Saturn’s orbit and they WILL ask where he’s heading to… maybe he could do it in the next planet meeting ? It would be less suspicious ! He just needs to wait until then.

He hopes it doesn’t take that long…

Recently started reading the manga Witch Hat Atelier and suddenly got the idea of bringing Solarballs into it… mmm I actually haven’t thought much of it since it just came into mind but I would imagine the pointy hats(under strict rules, the “good” guys) would be any star systems and the brimmed hats(unrestricted free will, the “bad” guys) would be the rogue planets 🤔

Ooo this really makes me want to design their outfits, their ages would be altered to be younger … ? Maybe Jupiter and Saturn could be full fledged witches hmm… The Ice giants would be teens while the Rockies are children like tween age ? That’s what I assume the qiflings are since it’s not explicitly said

So many possibilities !! I’m not sure if it’ll be a fleshed out idea but I would be happy to hear more ideas from this little thought ^^

While I was reading Zaira’s latest fic “Five Hundred Miles” it came into mind —when Saturn said ‘my star’— of how in Steven Universe the pearls would do the Diamond pose when addressing the Diamonds… How maybe planets do that too 🤔 it is an interesting idea to give them a specific hand gesture as a way to address the stars.

It would make sense on why Sol would be so uncomfortable being addressed that way. The planets were born with the knowledge of how to address their star once they’re a little older (imagine a toddler trying to do the star hand shape with their chubby fingers LOL) I tried doing it myself and it’s tiring to lee that shape for long or … maybe that’s carpal tunnel screaming at me to rest my wrists from drawing

The first time Jupiter addressed Sol in the highest formality, he was completely horrified he had to convince Jupiter not to do that ever again but it took some time before he stopped doing any of that unless he gets nervous and defaults to formal language (idk how else to word it, me not good at English)

The Neptunian moons 🐟 I’m happy to be out of that hell of a drawing … I’m never drawing that many people in a single canvas ever again TT it really killed my motivation so I’m trying to go slowly now… which is unfortunate bc I rlly wanna finish this soon
