Why many people spend their lives chasing happiness while overlooking the one thing that often makes it possible.
If someone asked you to choose between peace and happiness, what would your answer be?
For a long time, I would have chosen happiness without thinking twice.
Like many people, I believed happiness was waiting somewhere in the future—in more money, the perfect relationship, a successful career, or the life I imagined other people were living.
But the more I reflected, the more I realized something.
Happiness comes and goes. It changes with circumstances, achievements, and seasons of life.
Peace is different.
Inner peace doesn't require a perfect life. It doesn't mean there are no problems or painful days. It means building a place inside yourself that isn't destroyed every time life doesn't go as planned.
Maybe that's why so many people spend years chasing happiness without ever feeling satisfied. They're looking outside for something that often begins within.
Perhaps the better question isn't, "How can I become happy?"
Perhaps it's, "What is stealing my peace?"
Because when you start protecting your peace, you often discover that happiness was never as far away as you thought.
