Y'know that Mickey Mouse costume they used at Disneyland at one point with the huge head? This is my attempt at drawing that.
Storyboards for The Jungle Book 2.
It's Pooh Bear!
I think I thought of this while watching Disney Dan's video about the "World According to Goofy" parade that they had at Disneyland in the 1990s.
Here are two pictures of Tigger that I drew years ago. Which one do you like better?
This is based on that one weird Madgascar bootleg mural thing you often see online.
First I thought of doing a picture of Odie dressed as Goofy. Then I got the idea to do Garfield dressed as Donald too.
Since Rolie Polie Olie is clearly inspired by the Fleischer era of cartoons (between the designs of the characters, everything having a face, the music, etc.), I've made the attempt to draw Olie in that style. I also added a grainy texture to truly sell the "really old cartoon" look.
Arnold in his iconic banana costume.
Attempting to draw CGI characters is always a challenge, because you're so used to seeing them in CGI that it's difficult translating them to 2D and keeping them off-model.
So, here's King Julien from Madagascar. In hindsight, I shouldn't have made one of his pupils larger than the other. It irks me.
Bunnicula! From the book series!
Oh yeah, and the TV show that wasn't very good.
think what inspired this weird mashup is that Snoopy frequently kissed or hit on Lucy and, in the strip's early days at least, also danced with her several times. She didn't seem to mind the latter, which raises further questions...
The only thing harder than drawing a fusion of Snoopy and the Beast was attempting to draw the same background that Belle and the Beast were in front of on the film's original VHS cover. I'm not good with backgrounds in general, so this was quite a task. Charlie Brown as Cogsworth was a goofy idea I just HAD to do - I was originally going to have other Peanuts characters as Lumiere, Mrs. Potts etc., but I couldn't think of a funny way to combine two characters the same way I did Chuck and Cogsworth.
And yes, I know on the VHS cover, Belle is in her ballgown. But I wasn't even gonna TRY to draw something as complicated-looking as THAT - remember, I have limited drawing skills!
Sonny the Cocoa Puffs bird. That's a straitjacket he's supposed to be wearing.
Sid the Sloth dressed as Wander from Wander Over Yonder.
Wocka wocka! It's Fozzie Bear!
I often see people attempt to redesign Arthur so that he looks like an actual aardvark instead of a capybara or a vole or whatever. I wanted to give that a try myself.
I wanted to make him look like an aardvark, but I also didn't want him to look too different. I wanted to keep the "Arthur-ness" (for lack of a better word) in his design. You can kind of see it in the head shape and the way I drew the glasses.
