Kim had just been finishing off her paperwork when she heard Mickey and he had coffee. She smiled when he slid it over to her, “Thank you. I have been needing this.” She took a sip, savoring the taste and leaned back slightly on her chair. Could she take a beat for an hour? No one would miss her that much if she took off for an hour, “I’ll just let someone know I’m going just in case but I could stretch my legs. I’ve been stuck in here all day.”
“You look exhausted, what’s been going on sweetheart?” Mickey asked with concern. He nodded in agreement to her plan, “Yes, you should because you look like they’ve been running you around in circles. We could even grab a small bite to eat while we’re at it?”
Milo had been doing research when he could hear someone saying his name rather loudly in the library, of course it was Mickey. He could do with a break and he could always come back if he wanted, “Fine, I’ll come because I need the break anyway.” He rolled his eyes slightly, he did appreciate Mickey’s friendship and would make time for the man. “I was doing research for my next trip and book.”
“You should’ve been relishing in this break right about now, Mi. Classes start back up in August, unless you’re doing summer courses?” Mickey inquired with a curious look. “Come on up up up--ooh next trip? Where?” He asked curiously. “And a book too? You’re just on top of it, aren’t you?”
“I figured you’d need a pick me up to keep you going for the day,” Mickey slid the coffee to Kim with an eyebrow wiggle. “Are you sure you can’t take like just a beat for an hour, stretch your legs out for a little bit before you gotta go and be detective extraordinaire?”
“Milo,” Mickey whispered rather loudly in the library. “What on earth are you doing holed in here on a Wednesday. It’s called summer vacation for a reason. Let’s go grab a bite to eat. You need some sunshine.”
Happy birthday to the fiercest diva I’ve been blessed to see grow right before my eyes! You are three and thriving! I love you to the moon and back! @gavgoof
To the best father, I know and love dearly: I must say watching you conquer fatherhood has been one of life’s joys. You’ve done above and beyond for Emma and she is the happiest, healthiest, and smartest girl all because of you. Today’s your day to kick back and relax. I love you.
Little Emma had a party with all of her favorite people to celebrate turning the big three. Because she’s Gavin’s little Monkey living young and wild and Three that was the theme of the party complete with tons of tropical jungle themed decorations, treats and as a favor you can even adopt your own little monkey.

Hera was at the teacup getting herself a coffee. She had been up all night thanks to Zeus and his ridiculous attitude. She swore she was going to be run into the ground if she had to continue living with him in this mortal realm. Getting her cup she was set to leave when she almost ran into someone. Luckily she caught herself. “Thank god if I dropped this coffee I would have lost it.”
“Ooh, last thing I’d ever want to do is come in between someone and their coffee, especially when they’re on the go,” Mickey smiled as he went to reach for his smoothie and muffin to get ready for the day. Already here he was just booked and busy. “Here, let me get that door for you, it’s a stubborn old thing,” He offered.
Enter Mickey Morrison. He’s a 27 year old Musical Theatre Director at Walt Disney Prep Academy and is the spitting image of Darren Criss. He is a HUMAN from the MORTAL realm and is Neutral. Sorry to say but, he’s taken.
→ Once Upon A Time.
Mickey grew up in Santa Monica and he knew that he was born to be a star. Ever since he was little he always had big dreams of becoming a singer, whether it was on Broadway or be an international pop superstar, he wanted it. However, in his very conservative family not only was it aiming far too high, it wasn’t what little boys were supposed to do. Instead, Mickey did baseball as a child and sure, he was exceptionally great at it, but even then, his heart yearned for the glitz and glamour. He wanted to do shows like Newsies, Grease, hell, he even wouldn’t mind Spring Awakening. This was his dream and he knew he was born for it, and so, he began to audition in secret during his middle school years and when he landed the starring role as Tom from Schoolhouse Rock Live! he proved, at least to his mother, that he was made for this. While this caused tension between his parents, his mother cheering him on and his father wanting something more “manly and practical”, he continued stubbornly forward and between becoming heavily involved in theatre, acting, dancing, and vocal lessons, he caught the eye of talent scouts from WDPA.
During his years at WDPA, he was heavily involved in the school’s atmosphere from theatre to choir to the welcoming committee, baseball, the spirit team, chess club, volleyball. Whatever group he could join, he was there and his name was practically written all over the academy, but theatre was always his home. Although he was always one of the lead roles, he still lent a helping hand to make up and costumes, he helped with lighting, sound, and the set and everyone loved him for it. He was very well loved throughout the academy, known for being someone who always had a heart of gold and lent a helping hand to anyone in need. Then upon graduation, his dream came true. What he didn’t know was that his final performance at the academy, Grease, would be the one to set him off to Broadway where he did multiple shows where as many expected, he was cast either as the lead or supporting role. Of course, he was successful and everything was amazing, but upon his father growing ill, and eventually, passing, Mickey was called home to Santa Monica to take care of his mother. Lucky for him, there was a job that opened at his alma mater that fit the bill perfectly for him, sure, he didn’t have a masters degree–but they were desperate.
→ The Road So Far.
Mickey Morrison has returned as both a graduate student and now director, of musical theatre next to Luminoso Murillo. He is back to shake up things in the theatre department and bring back WDPA to its glory with its musicals and it’s atmosphere. Sure, it hasn’t been the easiest road with all the twists and turns in his life, making sure his mother isn’t spiraling into a depression and making sure that his social life is intact. While he does miss the rush of Broadway, he is doing Broadway in LA with a few old friends such as Lottie LaBouff and that’s what’s been helping him set the bar. Of course, his best friend Athena often reminds him to slow his roll as he can get ahead of himself. Needless to say, he did miss his life in Santa Monica and he’s glad to help his alma mater bring in more future Broadway stars to the stage one day.
→ Behind The Mask.
Many are astounded by Mickey’s bright and vivacious personality at first, yet are quickly drawn in by how big of a sweetheart he is. He’s never been rude or malicious to anyone and he’s planning to keep it that way no matter who he encounters. However, behind his seemingly calm and cool exterior, he can be a big drama king if something goes wrong and his problem solving skills can sometimes land him in a rut. Nonetheless, many love him and his bright and optimistic spirit and he’s always willing to lend someone a hand whenever they are in need.

→ Are You A Friend or Foe?
Athena Speros (Best Friend): Athena and Mickey are the most unlikely of best friends, but are best friends nonetheless. While Mickey tells Athena to get outside and explore more, Athena reminds him to slow down and focus on the details. Together, they are a balance of the theatrics and logic, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
Arista Sullivan (Best Friend): Arista is his soul sister, one of his very best friends since their early days in music. He’s often at her symphony concerts cheering on every song she’s composed just as she’s cheered him on in the past.
Gavin Goof (Boyfriend): Gavin is Mickey’s heart and soul in so many ways, shapes, and forms. If Mickey could ever describe what love and home felt like, he would say that it came in the form of his boyfriend and little Emma.
“Whaaaat” Gavin whined in response to Mickey’s whine. Knowing full well Mickey would immediately give in nd tell the story Gavin grinned as he listened to it. “That is actually really fucking cute.” Gavin chuckled shaking his head. He would admit that he didn’t realize it until several years later, but it was cute to know that some part of them always felt fated. “Well now you don’t have to because i am definitely not going anywhere.” He grinned as he squeezed Mickey’s hand.
Mickey could feel the heat rising to his face. He was truly a hopeless romantic at the most theatrical of scales. “Oh, it was this whole thing. 10 year old me just could not at that point. I knew I was smitten right then and there. Why’d you think I had this thing with taking your hand and dragging you everywhere?” He pointed out with a knowing look. A smile graced his face and sighed happily. “I love you, Gav.”
After getting Mellie to finally spill the tea, Daisy had retreated to her bathroom for a much-needed shower and now found herself lying in her bed, hair wrapped in a towel, giggling as she remembered everything from the day before when she felt her phone vibrate.
Daisy: It’s nearly 2 pm, sunshine.
Daisy: Naturally! Aspirin helps. Sleep well? Or were you a bit too occupied? 👀
Mickey: Time is an illusion--and I woke up at noon for the first time in a century.
Mickey: Thank Godga for Aspirin! Slept like a baby--after some extracurricular fun ofc. 🙈🙈🙈
Mickey was most definitely hungover, but happy as ever. Fishing out his phone from his pocket while he lounged around dramatically on the couch watching the new season of Queer Eye, he shot a text to Daisy.
“No no no.” Gavin laughed. “I am going to need this story” He insisted as they walked home together hand in hand. “I need to know why Thirteen Going On Thirty made. you like me.” Gavin was insistent he was not going to let Mickey live that down.
“Gaaav,”Mickey whined, already feeling the blush rush to his face as he casually swung their hands as they were making their way home. “Okay okay okay, so, Jenna gets everything she wants in life right? Gets the dream job, the man candy, fabulous friends--but they all hate her personality because she became so self centered and she loses her best friend and then she realizes all along, he was the one who cheered her on to be her best self and--” He stopped walking to look at Gavin. “I realized in that moment, with my kid self, you’ve always been the one to do that for me and I couldn’t imagine life without you in it.”
Mellie bit her lip. In theory it was nice of him to say, and god did Mellie want to believe it. It meant the world to her that he wanted to make her feel safe, that her friends and loved ones supported her. All of her wanted to believe in a world where people wouldn’t turn their heads when she walked in a room, speed up to walk further away from her, clutch their purses because she was standing near them. Mellie wiped a tear and then reached out to rub Mickey’s arm appreciatively. “Thank ya sugar.” She nodded. “I know ya try your best, and the support means more than i could ever properly put into words.” Mellie offered. “I am truly hopin’ that one day we could live in a world where someone like me feels safe and like no one is gonna hurt me. I hope that will happen in this lifetime sugar I really do but things like this they just remind me we still got so far to go, and that fear that never really goes away it gnaws at the back of my head, well that just comes out full force when things like this happen. I’m so sorry I know the rule is no cryin’ at Pride I just can’t believe someone would say things like that.”
“I know it’s hard for you and I hear you, Mellie, but just know, I won’t ever stop fighting for you,” Mickey reassured her and rested his head on top of hers for a moment. He could only understand half of what Mellie went through, even his own mother of being called racial and sexist slurs and being told you couldn’t do certain things because of the color of your skin. Mickey was taught to be compassionate, no matter where anyone came from, no matter what race they were, who they loved, or deities they worshiped. The main thing was to always speak out against the injustices placed. “The best thing I can do is speak out when I can and make sure you’re heard most of all,” He nodded. Listening to Mellie, he nodded. “We will one day. One day this world will give you the rights you deserve and have fought tooth and nail for. One day, no one will have to hide who they truly are in the shadows, and I can’t tell you how sorry I am all of this just--” He shook his head. “But know that you have people that have your back and, it’s okay to cry.”
