If you’re like us, you can’t get enough of creator Mira Calix. In the video above, she arranges plants, tools, and other ordinary objects over continuously shifting squares of colored light to the track Umbra/Penumbra from her album Eyes Set Against the Sun. Like her music compositions, which feature natural, seemingly ancient sounds that are then manipulated and layered using technology until they become almost unrecognizable, this video is a surprisingly seamless weaving together of old and new.
