//ooc so actually funny enough. Volkswagen actually built custom, specialized ambulances based on the iconic Beetle platform, most notably the military Type 822 and the civilian Krankenwagen. These unique, air-cooled rescue vehicles were heavily modified with extended rear flatbeds or cargo boxes to accommodate a patient and necessary medical gear.

He makes it back to the Nemesis not entirely undetected, because that would probably be far more suspicious than anything, but he does teleport into his trine's quarters moments after he becomes a blip on the ship's radar. That's not really out of the ordinary for him, so it shouldn't raise any sort of attention.
Technically, he's not supposed to do it, he's giving Soundwave fits about security, but they can't exactly stop him without causing a ship-wide comms and system blackout, so Skywarp considered those objections more of a suggestion than anything.
He flung bits of by now dry algae that clung to his plating toward TC just to hear him yell, and the scene that caused not only warned off anyone who might have hung out nearby, but also meant his trine was too busy being annoyed to really dig into what he'd been up to.
He gets cleaned up and they do help him with the superficial damages in areas he can't easily reach, though especially Starscream is far from gentle popping out dents between berating and threatening him (this is how Screamer shows his -- grudging -- affection though, so it's probably fine!).
When they do ask, Skywarp spins them a vague little tale about running into an Autobot scouting party, gets yelled at because he isn't supposed to engage those, whines back that getting into a good scrap is fun (and it is, that part isn't even a lie, technically!), and gets reprimanded some more. Starscream raps his knuckles across Skywarp's head none too gently, too.
The damage to his wrist and digits turns out to not be so easily repaired, unfortunately. And they aren't exactly flush with spare parts, as Starscream very helpfully tells him, "to waste on your inane antics". So Screamer patches the broken lines and puts his servo in a splint to keep it still until self-repair can restore function, warns him not to expect the fix to be perfect and also very firmly tells him not to transform until the aforementioned splint has come off. By Starscream removing it, not by Skywarp doing something dumb, he can see you think up a loophole.
And so a mostly cleaned up, largely repaired Skywarp eventually left the Command Trine quarters for his shift on the bridge. He still sported scuffed paint, and the splinted hand was kind of hard to miss, but he had a reputation for getting roughed up in stupid ways (and really, whoever he decided to jump usually ended up in much worse shape), so... so no one would think much of it, probably.
Hopefully.
He had done a damn good job not thinking of what he had left behind in that lake so far. He could keep doing it. No one would know. No one would know, and this strange state of affairs, this weird quasi-stalemate where people finally stopped dying all the time would continue to go on.
It's fine. It's all fragging fine.
The door to the bridge slides open smoothly, the lights inside the familiar dim intensity, the consoles blinking as they always do, aaaaand someone else is here.
Landslide wasn't paying much attention to whatever was going on until the doors slide open. Tilting their head back to see Skywarp of all bots standing there, their blades rattle on their back slightly as they acknowledge him but go back to monitoring the airwaves. "So is that why Starscream was throwing a fit? Your servo all in a strung up and you look like you tried to make yourself a different shade of blue." They stated casually as they motioned towards a trash can.
"Someone said something bout a delivery with some anime? Something with action in it?" Landslide continued on before looking back up at the screen noticing movement in the sky. Before tagging it and registering it with someone else to identify and send someone out if needed.
Onyxstorm has come to check on Steamtrack, pushing through the autobot base ventilation before slowly coming down into her area. Chuffing a little before deciding to roll in her items.
Steamtrack had just been in the middle of arranging some of her belongings when she had heard the commotion coming from the vents. She paused what she was doing, one optic ridge raised, as she watched the Sparkeater come down. A soft chuckle escaped her as she watched Onyxstorm.
Onyxstorm chuffs before sitting upright. "Security around here is weak. The vents are too exposed to enemy infiltration. Should have grates that can be looked up into." She replied softly before coming over and sniffing Steamtrack, showing off her maw of fangs before sneezing a little. "Been sparring? Smell like ozone to me."
The warehouse loomed ahead, her eyes sweeping the fenced-in lot before darting from one dingy window to the next, seeking signs of life... or unlife. Finding it clear, she approaches the gate, held secure with a thick coil of chain and an industrial lock. Rusted razor wire wreathes the top rail of the eight foot fence... all the way around.
"Mind giving me a lift, partner?"
Bulhead lowers a palm for her to climb into before carefully stepping over, not wanting to damage the structure. If it was fully intact, this could provide a decent site for some time. Placing her back down onto the cracking asphalt, he advised, "Don't let your guard down just yet. We still need to clear the interior."
She tests the handle of the main door. "Locked. Lets check 'round back for another entrance. One big enough for you."
There was thankfully a loading zone with several large docks at the rear of the warehouse. It might be loud, but it was likely the only way in for him.
As gently as he's able, Bulkhead pulls at the base of one door, Miko standing a ways back with her rifle at the ready. She squints into the gap, seeking movement. Clear, as far as she can tell. Shouldering her gun, she pulls herself onto the ledge and crawls under, finding the chain and releasing it from its hasp. Throwing another cautious glance over her shoulder, she pulls the door the rest of the way up, waiting for Bulk to step through before slowly lowering it again, trying to make as little sound as possible.
Securing the chain once more, she turns with a sigh, glancing around the large, open space. No bodies. No smell. So far so good.
Bulkhead steps in front of her before she can move.
"We're not alone," he warns lowly to her as he notes the faintest hint of an EM field from the opposite side of the warehouse. Voice slightly raised, he calls out, "Are you a friend?"
Light twitches as she senses the other's E.M. field, before huffing loudly. "Depends who's asking" She replied flatly before a whirring noise is heard. Active radar tracking their movements along with combat systems coming online. All precautionary on what the duo next move was as Light stepped into view, her wings hiked up a little in a display of uncertainty and weariness of the two. "Better not be infected or else I'll cleanse you two." She replied and continued to stay at a distance.
The sounds were familiar. Not something he'd heard in a long time, but familiar all the same. They needed to tread carefully.
"Yeah were totally infected. Hence the intelligible conversation," Miko snorted, arms crossing.
"Not helpful," Bulkhead insists before turning his attention back to the current resident of the warehouse. Raising his servos in a passive gesture, he assures, "We're clean. Just lookin fer a place to crash for a bit. We don't need much space."
"Then tell me this. What was the name of the town where you two came from?" She questioned. Her systems still growling and whining for a chance to unload. Wings remained high in a sense of wariness, Lightstrike wasn't too sure about the two still and would probably be suspicious until they gained her trust which was already thinned by previous invaders of her territory.
"Last time people came looking to crash they had a infected in their midst and caused a little too much havoc." Lightstrike hissed out. Optics tracking the bot movements mainly. She was seeing if he tried anything how hard it would be to take him down, she wasn't built to fight a heavy armored ground unit. Especially if it decided to go south in a hurry. The human on the other hand would be easier to go after as it seems they're more tuned to their feelings.
The moment he did that she activated her ability and suddenly her thrusters pop out and she goes down. Crashing down into the woods and tumbling around. Her frame quickly going gray as if he actually killed her. Of course she would stay possum for the most of twenty minutes before she came back online, as her spark activity seized to be.
Hopefully that'll be enough for the other to leave her alone and or be thrown off enough to give her a upper edge in a surprise attack. But for now she'll play dead.
The hit with his handful of dirt was supremely satisfying. The sudden drop was not the reaction he would have expected, though. Even TC, all but famous for his near-phobia of organic contamination, reacted by moving more not less, accompanied by a truly spectacular array of noises. Could a mech pass out from "ew yucky organic" panic?
And also, if that was what was going on, shouldn't that have happened way earlier, in the lake?
This demanded further investigation. So Skywarp dove after the falling form, still half expecting them to fire their thrusters back up... until they hit the trees, wood splintering and leaves scattering. Even after they had come to stop at the end of the groves their fall had left in the soil and plant life, they did not move to get up.
And they had turned grey.
For a moment, what he was seeing just... did not compute. People -- Cybertronians -- didn't really die anymore since most of what remained of their race had awoken on Earth. Probably not for lack of trying (probably? surely! he wasn't going to examine that further) but all around mechs on Earth didn't die.
And Skywarp, for all that he was not ever going to say it out loud, did kind of like that. That subconscious certainty that a mech he was talking to over energon this orn would still be online the next. The idea that he could make plans for, like, halloween because he'd be alive that long himself.
A death now... what if it shattered that strange status quo? He was still decently sure he wasn't looking at an Autobot, so this would probably not elicit some kind of retaliatory assassination from the 'Bots.
(And for all that Skywarp was the first to taunt those slaggers about being softsparks and not made for war, he knew what their Prime could do. Or those pit-sparked terror twins. Fragging Jazz. Even their chatty little morality pet of a Praxian sniper had a considerable kill count.)
....actually, the Autobots would probably be "noble" enough to try and avenge a Neutral, come to think of it.
And if they got a kill, it was only a matter of time before everyone was killing each other again. And the whole slagging planet would probably go up in flames in the process, too. No more cartoons, or online games, or glitter, or internet, or storm riding over the ocean, or corals on the sea floor, or organic stuff to stick his digits into, or snow, or aurora borealis-
He had the absurd thought that his kills usually were in more pieces. And more torn up.
He needed to hide the body.
That was... that was honestly a new one. He'd never had to hide a kill before. Starscream might have, he'd been in politics even before the war, hadn't he?
He considered pinging his trine leader, then immediately dismissed that idea for the utter idiocy it was. Screamer would probably try to use this to his advantage until it blew up in all their faceplates.
Now, how did one hide 62ft of flightframe on an alien planet?
This was not an area he had experience in!
....but, he had hidden the aftermath of pranks before.
Okay. Okay, he could do this. He's not panicking, you're panicking, shuddup.
So, the lake was probably a good start. It'd been deep enough to cover them while standing up, laying down it should hide the corpse just fine unless someone went diving.
Yeah, sure, this could work. He grabbed a grey forearm with his good hand. It was still warm, systems only recently shut down, and damp with lake water. Leaves from hitting trees and undergrowth stuck to the damp plating, alongside a streak of mud or two.
There were scratches in the paint, some dents, that their fight had left. But no energon. He... had kind of expected energon to start leaking somewhere, everywhere, once he made contact.
How was this slagger dead without spilling a drop of their lifeblood?!
No. Focus. The why, the how? Currently not important. Deal with the immediate issue -- evidence -- first, don't think, just do it.
So he teleported, himself and the corpse, right back the the middle of the lake. Where he made the unfortunate discovery that the body floated. Given there was clear evidence of a struggle in both the area and on the greyed out body, he doubted anyone would assume the stranger had drowned -- even ignoring how hard it was for a Cybertronian to die that way in the first place.
He pushed the body down under the surface, kind of hoping the water would flood their vents and weight them down, but when he let go, it bounced right back up -- no such luck, it seemed. Probably because without their fans running to pull in air the water wasn't being pulled in either.
So. Now what?
He could probably tear the body into smaller bits to bury elsewhere, maybe even in the sand at the bottom of the lake, but that definitely would spill energon absolutely everywhere and be very slagging noticable even in a casual fly over. Lakes on Earth generally didn't come in bright pink.
Skywarp made a kind of whining growl deep in his chassis.
He needed to weigh the corpse down, then. He'd seen cartoons before where characters got concrete poured over their feet before they were dumped in water, to make sure they did not float. Unfortunately, Skywarp did not have any concrete laying around, and kind of didn't want to go acquire some Pit knew how far away, while leaving the body very much hidden.
He tried some of the tree trunks that had been broken off by the earlier crash, first. Unfortunately, those floated, too. Skywarp let out some truly colorful curses, neatly blending Vosnian and several of Earth's languages in a way that would be a linguist's wildest dream.
Maybe if he found something at the bottom of the lake? If it had sunk before it'd probably sink again, if he got enough of it to overcome the buoyancy of the dead frame.
He dove down to look. It didn't actually take too long before he did find some boulders large enough -- and with some maneuvering, he eventually managed to get the body pinned face up on the lakebed, one boulder on each splayed wing and another one, the biggest one he had been able to get, on the lower chassis. The arms and legs were still floating up a tiny bit, like the corpse was reaching for the surface, but that was far enough away that no one looking from above should see.
It'd have to do.
Skywarp spared one more look at the greyed out frame. It was kind of hard to see, the water murky now from how badly the ground had been disturbed. Some of the sand would probably settle on top of it and hide the evidence of what had happened, what Skywarp had done, even further.
He resoluted refused to think beyond that. Nothing good every came from thinking anyway.
Instead he swam up, made his way onto the shore, and shook off the water as best he could. With a burst from his thrusters he launched himself up.
Surveying the area from above, the lake probably looked the least suspicious. The crushed trees and deep groves in the dirt were certainly standing out far more. But, no energon, no metal bits left behind... what were the odds anyone coming by would write this off as being natural? Some freak storm? A veeeeeery large bear? Like, seriously large? Maybe they'd blame Bigfoot.
Skywarp swallowed. Mostly he hoped no one would come by to see it at all until nature grew to cover up the traces of what had taken place.
His plating ground together in a few places when he transformed and sped away.
Okay, so being slung around and bobbled everywhere was a thing but it was worth the look on the others face that they just "killed" her, and along with the fact of them poorly hiding a body with the cursing attached. Lightstrike was surprisingly buoyant for her size. And after a while she gets tied down to the bottom and floats there half way as the other basically leaves the scene of the "crime."
After the twenty minutes, her coloration comes back and Lightstrike wiggles a little before realizing what has happened fully and cuts herself free. Floating back up and shaking herself off. However apart from scaring a few ducks she also caused a woman on the beach to faint from the sudden appearance of herself. Quickly she takes off and transformed, heading back to her own base to both refuel and take a nap to let her systems heal what damage she received.
The movement threw her off guard of course but she let go and drifted down, rolling on to her back and lifting her legs to light her thrusters right into his face, sending out scalding hot water against him and helping the fact she was sent away from him. War frames like him were a tough crack for her. So she decides to cut her losses and get out of the situation. Kicking up a ton of silt and gravel she heads upward and breaches the surface. Floating in the sky for a few moments before transforming and taking to the sky, slowly climbing up to altitude where the water would cascade off of her, Lightstrike was definitely wounded, a few busted gears and a slowly leaking wingtip that stung.
Lightstrike however kept a sensor open in case of the other teleporting above her again. As she was going to pull a tactic that was rarely used by her, as it definitely strained her systems for the most part each time it was used.
Aaaand the release of his wrist hurt almost as much as the stranger letting go his palm had. He half-heartedly aimed a stab of his elbow in their direction as they let go.
The blast of hot water was... not expected exactly, but not all that surprising either. Skywarp turned and twisted around to shield the parts of him that were not so heat resistant -- his face, damnit -- with the parts that were covered in armor designed to withstand atmospheric re-entry.
For a split second he considered transforming back to alt, then dismissed the idea -- transforming underwater meant he was going to get water and muck all over his internals, and while freshwater was probably, maybe, not going to be as big a problem as the saltwater around the Nemesis base where he had actually tried it, it'd still add to the growing list of maintenance and repairs he was going to have to do after this encounter was over.
Starscream was going to throw such a hissy (screamy?) fit, he could already tell.
So instead he fired up his own thrusters, deliberately not going straight after them but rather making his way up to the surface at an angle, and scooping up a big handful of muddy, algae covered sand to take along.
Just after leaving the water behind, he teleported again -- not ahead, this time, but so he was at the same height as the stranger just out of arm's reach.
"Surprise!"
And he lobbed his handful of, well, muck, with all the precision he'd put into a shot with one of his missiles. Probably more, actually.
Lightstrike snarled when she felt the knee against her along with the claws rake across her wing. Putting pressure on the wrist and feeling the electricity zap her faceplate a little, leaving a buzzing feeling through her body that just riled her up more. Quickly she rolled to face the other head on, adjusting her grip once more to keep the other's hand firmly pinned. Kicking out once more to keep momentum going before lunging and now biting at the others throat.
Her body was twitchy at best as she finally felt the perfect moment to release all the rage building inside of her for centuries.
Two of his digits abruptly lost function as the hydraulics connecting them to his wrist gave under the pressure of the stranger's jaws.
Annoying, that. Skywarp made sure to redouble his efforts to stab the sharpened tips of the other three into the delicate parts of their face and optics.
Another kick glanced off the casing of his hip joint harmlessly, though it seemed to have been mainly for rolling them again anyway. More sand and algae swirled around them as Skywarp shifted his pedes, resisting the movement this time.
A lunge toward the neck, sure, he'd kind of expected that earlier if anything. It was a logical spot to aim for, because there was only so much armor one could put there before the restriction of movement made it not worth it, and there were a good number very vital connections there.
Which was also why Skywarp was not gonna allow that, thank you very much. He yanked up the arm the stranger had their jaws clamped around like a vice with enough force he felt a gear or two in his shoulder strip -- that'd be sore later -- while bringing his free hand down in a punch aimed for their head.
Granted, the whole being-underwater-thing did slow the speed he was able to get and accordingly softened the impact somewhat. Still, if it landed, it'd rattle them good...
