Incomplete/running list of the reasons Apollo is more unhinged than Midnighter:

Apollo's lack of any memories from before Bendix never seems to bother him the way it bothers Mid

It's implied in Stormwatch Vol. 2 that Apollo was sleeping with Stalker (I have so many questions that I don't want answers to)

Bendix engineered Midnighter to like violence (according to Jenny Fractal, Bendix, etc.). He did not do this to Apollo, as far as I know, which indicates Apollo was just always Like This
