Ladies, gentlemen, and everyone in between: the time has come! 1.11 is here! Not only has minecraft itself updated adding new things like shulker boxes, llamas, and woodland mansions, but we’re also rolling out a number of new changes and things related to the world of Le Monde as well. It’s a two-fer! On our side of things, a couple notable things have happened. The biggest of these things is a massive resource pack update, bringing to you a whole plethora of new and interesting items and textures. All three texture packs have been updated: The original, the autumn version, and the add-on only pack. Old items have been given new life with non-vanilla textures including favorites such as the Master Sword and the Emberwings. Beyond those, there are also a wide variety of brand new items to find and enjoy. The foodstuffs category has been greatly increased, and anyone with an aquarium in their house will be greatly excited about the number of new fish that are now possible to catch (ME!!!). Upon its completion, the aquarium in Ambrette Town will feature all of the varieties, which I’m admittedly very excited about. There are additionally brand new tokens to carry that didn’t previously exist, and we’ve also come up with some fun new weapons to throw around: the grenade and the flashbang. We intend to update loot tables on the server, allowing many of these new items to be found on mobs and other lootables. Outside of the resource pack, there’s a number of things going on as well. New shops have been added to Heliosol City, Amberleaf City, and Sunset Point, which mostly contain a selection of the new items. We’ve also been bringing our cities to life bit by bit through new NPCs, which each have their own personality and charm. These characters also often have valuable information you’ll need if you wish to figure out just exactly how useful that pretty crystal you can buy from the Heliosol souvenier shop can be… Just between you and me, I’d recommend putting one in your pocket and heading on over to Amberleaf City to see what kind of trade you might be able to make. For the adventurous folk, it’s one quest that will certainly be worth the effort! Moving on down the list, some fun new mechanics have been added: the ability to manually charge a creeper, and also evolve an endermite into a shulker. For the shulker, splash an endermite with a jumpboost potion and then give it glowing by shooting it with a specral arrow. Then, watch as it transforms before your eyes! The creeper can be charged in a similar manner by splashing it with a strength potion and then again hitting it with glowing. Handle that one with care, as it’s likely to get a bit… testy. As a final bit of information, we intend to again change the format of the rupee and the rare sponge. This change will be reflected in their title and lore text, which hopefully will be a lot prettier when we’re done with it. The drop rates for each of the mobs is to remain unchanged. We will provide villagers in the shops building to exchange between the old and the new currencies. We do not anticipate any bugs or issues, but nonetheless it remains possible that they could rear their ugly head at any moment. Should this happen, we ask that you report it immediately to the forums! Doing this is mutually beneficial, as we’re able to resolve the issue and you, the reporter, will receive a honey token for your troubles. Honey Tokens can be traded in for valuable merchendise on the upper level of the shops building. This concludes my long-winded update post, so all I have left to say is to get out there and start exploring! The whitelist is now removed, and you are all free to join. Le Monde is ever growing, and we’re excited to share these new things with you!~ Alexa
