It's always funny to remember my entire childhood was spent with adults and children being like "something is off with you" and I was thrown into social skills classes and was eventually just labelled as "tactless" meanwhile I'd always get confused when people were like "that autistic feeling" cause like nah man I do that too everybody does

Like my family would even joke I was on the spectrum but nobody thought to get that checked? I got diagnosed as an adult and everyone was like "yeah that makes sense" and "wait you weren't already diagnosed?"

How was I the only person who didn't know and only later got tested cause everyone kept joking that all these traits I had were signs a fictional character was autistic???
