I hate seeing people infantalize my older sister because she's disabled. Like yes she is adorable she is the cutest girl in the world but you don't fucking know that all you know is that she's a girl who has down syndrome and then your going based off of your dumbass stereotypes. She is not a kid she is 19 years old.

Do not fucking "aww" at my sister being polite you wouldn't "aww" at anyone else being polite why are you doing it for her?

Like idk maybe I'm being a protective younger brother but I'm really sick of seeing people find out that my sister is disabled and assuming she's a adorable little baby.

having "us only" petnames

dedicating certain days to be about and having a main focus on our relationship (i.e. valentines day, our anniversary)

celebrating each others ship anniversaries

poly shipping!

it also helps to adopt a headspace in which you remind yourself the character is fictional and cannot truly be someone to steal your partner away. but if you are feeling that way, have an open, honest, calm conversation as to why you feel that way- if your partner is receptive, its something you can work on together. :>
