Malenia, Blade of Miquella WIP

Crazy to think I’ve already spent about 19 hours painting this beast, but I’m so glad with how it’s coming along. I should be able to paint the base Thursday and I can’t wait so see how it’ll look!

I’m really proud of how her skin and prosthetic arm came out.

Three hours of priming later..

She ate a 12oz can of primer so I had to do the rest with my airbrush.

I need to wait until next week to paint the bigger pieces. I’m planning to stay at my sister’s house so that I can use her garage since the paint booth I have is too small for the base, and it’s way too hot to work outside. In the meantime, I’ll hopefully get her skin and prosthetics done.

Lauma from Genshin Impact WIP

This is such a pretty figure and I’m glad I was able to grab it. There were some issues with fitting so that’s why she doesn’t have arms, so hopefully I’ll get the patience to deal with it soon.

The original render didn’t have flowers, so I decided to paint them like the flowers I’ve seen in a few Columbina figures. It probably isn’t too out of place contextually and I like how they look.

I’m so glad that I got an airbrush. It made the skin and hair insanely easy. Not to mention I wouldn’t be able to do the moons without them. I’m not sure if they have a specific name since I haven’t played for a while..

Finished Shalltear Bloodfallen figure from Overlord

Her dress was a bit of a pain to paint, but the weapon more than made up for it. The only part of it that was an issue was the gradient around the needle. I had to redo it twice to get the colors right, but I’m glad a did. I’m a bit surprised I managed to get such a good gradient on the rest of the weapon with mainly dry brushing.

Zhuang Fangyi from Arknights: Endfield WIP

I wish I liked playing this game because the characters look so cool. At least I don’t have to worry about spending money in game to get her! I can just.. spend $100 on a garage kit and take 20+ hours painting it..

Her face alone took 2 hours but it’s so worth it and I love how she’s turned out so far. I’m waiting for my airbrush to arrive to work on the swoopy bit around her. Though, if I paint this figure again I’d rather get that part printed in clear green resin.
