Yuzu and Citra's team always presented themselves as very professional and very anti piracy, to the point that you would get banned if they could tell you haven't ripped your own legal copies when reporting technical issues or inquiring about long standing bugs.

I admire the attempt at the end of the day, I get it, but it doesn't do shit. Companies like Nintendo don't want us backing up our own data, modifying our own hardware, or playing rom hacks that act as patches on top of our legally purchased games.

In their eyes, it's all dirty illegal piracy and we're all criminals for daring to own and use our own shit as we please.

Being "good" will never be enough, you will never be the "ethical" emulator user.

So fuck it. Join the pirate horde. Embrace it. Encode all of your links into base64 so no one can tell they're links. Spread your roms and emulator files far and wide. Who fucking cares man.

And before anyone talks shit about the patreon money they received, one of the few established legal precedents when it comes to emulation, the Sony lawsuit that Bleem fought against and won (at the cost of their company) was over a paid software you could buy in a box at CompUSA.
