Where am I? Why are you here?
“My place. You drank too much and since you refused to tell me where you live, I took you here. Coffee?”
redfern, rowan.
What are you trying to say?
“That we don’t have to watch this movie anymore. It’s obviously scaring you.”
kim, savannah.
“It’s snowing!”
“I’m afraid that’s only artificial snow.”

Mackenzie: Do you know a 24 hour coffee place?
Mikael: There are plenty. Depends how far you're willing to walk. Where are you right now?
redfern, kestrel.
Are you coming, or what?
“I’m a little slow, must come with the age. Can you remind me where we’re going?”
volterra, alessandra.
"If you include my own I believe two. Matters of the heart have almost entirely lost their appeal after so long. I also discovered my true nature. You’ve missed a lot, Mikael and it appears I’ve missed just as much with you."
“It would seem so. Back then I was a sloppy vampire, had no idea you were a witch. You must be powerful. How is your life now?”
heller, nikki.
“I’m a little busy right now, mom.”
“Don’t taunt me. As far as I can see you’re only wasting time. Now come.”
Forbidden Encounters || Nyala & Mikael
ross, nyala.
The hunter in her should have been nervous about meeting someone at an abandoned place. Even more so since that someone was a vampire and by nature her enemy. And yet the thing she was more nervous about was whether or not he would show up. Nyala felt a level of trust in him that most people couldn’t even gain from her in years. What was it that would make Mikael trust her in return? He knew what she was and he should by instinct be running away from her not seeking places to be alone with her. Alone. Oh god she was about to be alone with a vampire who she had feelings for. Feelings which scared her so much she thought she may forget to breath. But there was her hand reaching without hesitation for the door to the building and she had taken extra time before to make sure she looked nice. Sure she’d also made sure she was armed but she didn’t go anywhere without weapons. It was just part of her life to be ready to fight now. As the door opened she slipped inside, pausing to look around. "Hello," she called out softly, unsure of where Mikael was.
it wasn’t that mikael didn’t liked his job - he did. & he was so so grateful to nick for helping him out when he was in a tight spot. all his life, he’s only had to take care of himself & now he was living with two people, women. one, his sister & the other rowan. he didn’t had aleksey’s wealth nor did he liked to use compulsion in order to get things, so did he had a hard time paying up the bills & living expenses? sure did. but on the other hand, this was the first time in a long time he truly felt alive & not just a corpse. he’d been looking for aleksey for so long, that he almost forgot what it was to have a family & someone to care for. during these last 500 years, he skipped through women faster than he moved towns. he had never been one to settle down, nor did he want a serious relationship. but after meeting nyala... something’s changed. he’s changed. so there he was, sitting alone in a shut-down bar, not really knowing what he expected. nyala was a hunter, this could as well be a trap. one he set himself. but for an unknown reason, he found himself trusting nyala, so when he heard someone enter the bar, mikeal knew it was her. going to greet her, he had a stupid grin on his face.
“hey. almost thought you weren’t gonna come.”
I am sixteen going on seventeen. Something or other about fellas which isn’t true.
I can’t believe I’m singing to myself.
“Nika? Nika? Where are -- -- Oh there you are! What are you doing? Come and help me carry these boxes please. And leave those candles alone, or you’ll get burned.”
“What harm could four shots do?”
“Only to get drunk.”
"Don’t worry about it. I have a lot of patience when I’m not drunk."
"I'll keep that in mind for when you are drunk."
Took long enough.
"I apologize, my co-worker isn't here and it's been a busy day."
Don’t worry about it
"Vodka, classic choice. I like it."
"Apology accepted."
"So Alex, how have you been in this 500 years we haven't seen each other? How many hearts did you broke?"
"You might as well get the next one ready."
"Got it. Any special sorrow you're trying to drink away?"
"Is this supposed to be unlocked?"
"No."
At first things became pretty boring, fairly quickly for Nyala as her target flirted through multiple women. The supposed meeting he was meant to be having didn’t seem very high up on his list. It didn’t help that she felt pretty stupid to be huntress Nyala with someone watching her. Even more so when that someone was constantly invading her thoughts. Eventually things got interesting as the associate showed up and when her target left Nyala was able to cozy up to his counterpart. It was undesirable work but it got the information she needed. She excused herself, intending to ditch her newfound admirer only to pause as she saw Mikael once more. Her first instinct was to walk away. Sure he had watched her but that was a little creepy and he had practically ran away from her before that. Still something propelled her forward instead. "That is why I don’t have a real job. You look dead. Well more dead than normal. Wow I can’t even believe I just said that," Nyala said, feeling more than tongue tied since she didn’t know what he was thinking and now she was making jokes about the one thing she should have hated about him. "Also if you run away again I will take the hint."
He smiled when she heard her voice and was glad she approached him, he might not have noticed her in the crowd. At hearing her apology, Mikael immediately shook his head. "It's fine, don't worry about it. You are right." He joked, laughing softly as he looked her, not being able to tear his gaze away. When she suggested what he knew she did, the vampire had to think a little. He had been thinkig so much of her, yet he still didn't knew what to tell her. Their relationship was forbidden and he couldn't even think what would happe if he ever lost control and bit her. A lot of things could happen - too many really. He licked his lip and took another few moments before he could answer her. "I have to work for another two-three hours." His voice was unsure and so was his gaze. His biggest incertitude was if his brother ever found about her. Mikael had no doubts he'd kill her instantly. The right thing to do would be let her go, whatever he felt could be nothing. He's had his share of adventures and romances in the past, ad some of them, he came to love, like Alessandra. When Victoria called for him from the back, he got up and walked towards the door when he stopped. He so should have made the right choice. "As soon as I get out, I will go straight to the Empress. It's an old, currently closed bar on Heathers. I have the key and I'll leave the door open." That was the biggest promise he could make her. With that, he entered the private room that was available only for staff, and slammed the door after him, thinking he must have been mad. Which he was - after Nyala.
