this movie could have been so wonderful & broken misconceptions of who freddie was but instead it just reinforced all the mistruths out there. i just wanted to see him portrayed as generous and romantic and shy and emotional and y’know.. who he was? i think the movie cheapened him. he was smarter and better than that! and he surely had more fun! they needed to include david and phoebe and joe and thor and lee and peter.. there are so many hilarious anecdotes that could have been shown

yeah for real! they cut out like All of his friends in favor of miss patron saint being his only friend uwu… like i understand they can’t have all his friends but to not even include phoebe fucking freestone? nah that shit don’t fly… they’re like purposely making him this lonely tortured soul who was dragged into the gay scene by and evil gay man and then gets a redemption arc because a straight woman tells him to come home.. the man had a whole load of good gay friends who were a positive force in his life
