All rpf aside for a second.

Will & Mack are obviously aware of what people say about them. They've seen the TT edits, they've seen the signs at games, they are not stupid people.

Some men, especially in a largely conservative sport like hockey, would freak out over even a hint or whisper of gay rumors. They would be careful with how they interacted with other men, especially the one they're rumored to be with. They'd be hyper-aware of the way they looked at one another, the way they touched each other in public. They would make it a point to be seen around town with a woman or several women.

Mack and Will have done none of these things. If anything, they're spending more time together than ever. They've stayed physically close, they've maintained their pregame routines & continue to sit and yap on the bench during games. They feature in each other's photo dumps & comment on each other's posts. They both still smile when the other person's name is brought up in interviews. They both used pride tape this year. They're choosing to spend at least part of their off-season together.

Now I have my own opinions about this. But even if they are 100% straight & just really good friends, I give them a ton of credit for choosing to block out the noise and remain close. They genuinely do not seem to give one fuck what other people think about them. And no matter what's going on between them, I absolutely love that.
