“I don’t know who this Luna person is nor do I care that it’s her birthday, but I will enjoy her perks, her birthday VIP section and run up her tab of drinks tonight. Doesn’t seem like a bad night at all in that case. Do you know her? If you do, send her over a Happy whatever from me.” Birthdays weren’t his thing. Hell, he hated his own so he clearly didn’t care for anyone else’s, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t going to turn down free stuff and if there was something that wasn’t free, he’d charge it to the birthday girl’s tab even if he could afford it. “Hey man, more power to ya,” Mike replied, taking a sip from his beer. He was surprised to see how big Luna’s party had gotten, and felt a little insecure that nothing like this had ever been done for his birthday. He reminded himself that Luna had taken this initiative and invited everyone. People didn’t just show up to celebrate, hard work had been put in. “Yeah, she’s one of my friends. She’s a camera operator but awesome,” he pointed to Luna from across the event space. “She’s right there, blonde, with the glasses. Hit her up with a thank you when you get the chance.” He felt defensive for his friend and didn’t like how this guy was talking about mooching off of Luna.
