Hey, so I just had this funny thought that Mike and Will would probably never confess their feelings for each other because they are too afraid of breaking their friendship. I feel like those two dumbasses would just be roommates forever, pining for each other but never doing anything about it. In their twenties they would probably experiment dating but it would never work out because they love each other too much. So they fall in their easy dynamic : being domestic, protective, basically being a married couple but platonic ? And like they would just be comfortable like this, they would stop dating because Mike can't keep pretending to want to kiss girls and Will is a hopeless romantic that can't move on until Mike finds someone.

And they would still be roommates 'till the end of times.

Yeah so "And they were roommates" takes a all bitter meaning.

(This maybe implies that Wheeler never had the chance to be kissed by a boy and it makes me immensely sad)

I just learned, that in the original script, Mike was supposed to ask Will to take off his belt for the pipe scene.

I'm very sad and pissed about a lot of things in S5 of ST but one of them is that the jump Mike took for Dustin never was addressed.

And I really thought it would be to torment Mike. Like Vecna playing with Mike's mind and then this scene reenacts. Little hopeless Michael tries to jump knowing he was going to die and then Vecna says something like : "Ohh poor Mike, wanting to die at a young age but even that you're incapable of doing. You're so useless aren't you ?"

I was waiting for Vecna to play with Mike so much but well I guess I didn't write the script so who am I to talk ?

I would also have liked to have this scene linked to Mike's self hatred and love for Will with his internalised homophobia but oh well.

The Buffers' said that Byler were never on the cards.

If they weren't queerbainting why didn't they say "Oh hey, by the way, Mike is straight so yeah don't be disappointed" ?

Why did they wait 'till the end of the show ? Why didn't Will have a proper love interest like the rest of the band ?

I've been saying to everyone who has ears that Byler are endgame after canon and there are people trying to convince me that no, that's not possible (blasphemy).

They say that "they will be too old" or "one of the characters isn't even confirmed gay" or "one of them has a girlfriend".

And they say that to me with a straight face like I'm not a Reddie lover, like be f*king for real dude. They meet 27 years later, and Eddie has a wife and no one on this planet can convince me they aren't endgame after canon (nah not even death can draw them apart go cry about it [because I am]).

- Mike has no other purpose than being a love interest
