I’m planning to get a new computer and reinstall The Sims 2 when I move in to my new house, but that’s sometime in the future and finding stuff in my “Likes” will be difficult, so therefor I reblog it to this blog! Feel free to follow it or message me if you want.

I recently (finally) got a new computer

So now I can have expansion packs for The Sims 4 and maybe I could start playing The Sims 2 again - and The Sims 1! I thought about changing this blog so it's about all the sims games that I play

BUT as I got ready to purchase more packs (and games), I got the news about the community boycotting EA. A few months has passed and I don't know what's happening. I'm kinda bad at keeping up with the news and details about it all. It's a shame with the timing! Like, I was planning to purchase Snowy Escape, Home Chef Hustle and Lovestruck to begin with and then see where I go from there. I would probably purchase CC with this new feature that is coming, too.

I'm going to wait for a while longer with purchasing. I don't have that much time to play, anyway.

Are you boycotting right now?

And if I were to purchase something someday - which creators do still have a creator code?

I might change this Tumblr blog now because I have got a new computer, and started downloading CC for The Sims 4! Today I tested a bunch of clothes I downloaded from trillyke, amongst others these pants in the post I'm reblogging, some fishnet stockings, leg warmers and this "accessory top" that goes under the clothes! So you can have it under dresses and other clothes!

The items are easy to download and they have good file names (creator - set name - type of item). Maybe everything is like that now a days, it's been so many years since I last downloaded CC and I just started out again. But this oldbie appreciates it anyway.

I understand that it would be considered morally wrong to add an item that pretty much lets you hire a stripper in The Sims, but then don't give us the cake at all! Give us the fireworks that set fire to everything or something else of the many items in the old game.

The Sims 4 with all updates is getting too big

It's supposed to be like 20 GB but several times a year they release updates that are like 1 GB and now my game takes ... well I don't know how to find out but I've deleted all other games except Bloons from my computer and there's still over 100 GB occupied. I had to delete all expansion packs also.

Even though I told myself I wasn’t going to make any more walls using patterns from ColourLovers, I made an exception just because I wanted some half patterned wallpapers. So, there’s 15 walls priced at §4 each. Everything has been compressed, the swatch can be seen up there ^ and it’s also included. Also, these aren’t Mac friendly since I tried squishing them down to that size and the wall texture ended up looking poo in-game.  DOWNLOAD mediafire

Late last night when I was decortating, I realised just how few kitchen-esque type walls I actually have. Except, that’s a complete lie because I have more walls than I can shake a stick at, but, it never hurts to have more, right? So, I raided ColourLovers and mashed some patterns together with one of Donnha’s tiles.  There’s 15 in total, all named clearly and the swatch, which you can see here, is also included.

I have an obsession when it comes to walls. I just cannot have enough of them, so when I see patterns I like, I have to make more! There’s 3 sets here each in 25 colours, so that’s 75 walls in total. Two of the walls have regular skirting and one of them also comes with half-tiling. TS1Unleashed Produce Stand Remade for TS2

(At last, it is done :D I must admit that I’m pretty proud of myself.)

Here is a grocery display from which can also be purchased the Seasons vegetables. Those can be brought individually, or in bulks of five, ten and twenty-five. Just like the regular groceries, it’ll  require a cash register on the lot to do so.

Found under appliances/large on both home and community lots. However, it will not be functional on residential lots (unless of course, said lot is a home business - you’ll then be able to sell groceries from it.)

The object requires the OfB, Nightlife and Seasons EPs.

Update 09/01/23: I finally fixed the issue with purchased veggies not having a set quality. Purchased vegetables will be ‘tasty’.

If you’d prefer them to be ‘bland’ or ‘mouthwatering’ instead, you can change this BCON value in the object’s package to either 0 (bland) or 2 (mouthwatering).

A TS2 Recreation of the TS1 Superstar Ponce de Leon Bath.

It is a functional objects which, beside the regular water and bubbles, allows a sim to bathe in mud, milk and sulphur. Each type of bath fills slightly different needs. On community lots, sims will change into their bathing suits rather than bathe naked. These special baths will build a sim’s fitness hobby. A warning, though: since it is slightly taller than a Maxis bath, sims’ hands will clip into the sides during certain animations. Also, the ‘water’s’ material might change too quickly if you queue two different interactions on the same bath one after the other.

This object requires Freetime. It can be found under Plumbing/Showers & Baths in the Buy catalogue.

Update 29/01/23: I fixed various issues with sims not exiting the special baths unless directed to, autonomous use by NPCs, and use privacy. Thank you to the kind anon who pointed out these problems.

Inventory Inheritance

With this mod, when a Sim dies, content of their inventory is transferred into inventory of another Sim who:

is alive,

does not belong to a family of special NPCs,

scored the highest number of points based on their kinship and relationship. In case of many same-scored Sims, one of those who had the highest lifetime relationship with the deceased is randomly chosen.

Additionally, depending on a config version, a Sim has to meet one of additional conditions in order to be considered as a potential heir:

mild: is related to the deceased, has ever met them but isn’t their enemy, or lives in the same household,

strict (with friends): is related to the deceased, is their best friend, or lives in the same household,

strict (family only): is related to the deceased.

As for the scoring, in brief: in strict versions, the kinship-based succession order is strictly followed. In the mild version, the succession order is significantly influenced by non-familial relationships and Sims from unplayable families are chosen as a last resort.

Items that cannot be given as a gift (e.g. HB’s traits), except of urns and gravestones, won’t be transferred. They’re called special items in the inventory inheritance dialog.

Both core and config files are necessary to make the mod work. Use only one config file at a time. You need to have at least one expansion pack or stuff pack installed to be able to use this mod.

Available translations: Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Polish, Russian, and Spanish.

Update (29 Oct 2022): Added German translation.

Scoring details

Kinship scoring (multiplied by 100 in strict versions):

+1 – cousin,

+2 – uncle/aunt,

+3 – grandparent,

+4 – nephew/niece,

+5 – sibling,

+6 – parent,

+7 – grandchild,

+8 – child,

+9 – spouse.

Relationship scoring:

-20 – enemy,

+1 – friend (only if not a best friend),

+1 – crush (only if not in love),

+1 – boyfriend/girlfriend,

+2 – best friend,

+2 – love,

+3 – engaged.

Other scoring:

-50 – is in an unplayable family (eg. townies).

Conflicts

Despite a conflict, this mod can work with Better Ghosts - AddOn - SpouseFix by simler90 but must load after it.

[Alright. Heregoes. This is the first time I’ve ever offered up anything that I’ve created for anyone else to download, but since I’ve been on Tumblr, I feel way more a part of the Sims 2 community and I love it (you are my people!) and want to try to reciprocate for some of the amazing creations I’ve been able to add to my game. That said, I’m not saying this is amazing. And if you have any constructive comments on any part of this (screens, packaging, etc.) PLEASE let me know!]

410 Cliffside Drive (with No CC)

This is a CC-free version of the Philips’ home from my Neptune BACC: A pretty simple starter designed for a growing family. I uploaded with no CC because that’s how I prefer to download lots, but if you’re interested, you can see the CC I used in shots of their house and I can point you in the direction of what you’d need for optimal cuteness. I do have all EPs and SPs and honestly am not sure which I might have used walls, etc. from. I left unfurnished to keep the price under $20k, but was able to minimally furnish for under $23k (or less if I’d used CC).

I’d love to know if you end up using this lot or if you have any suggestions!

EDIT: I already fucked up. I forgot to replace one CC item. I’ve done that and fixed the download link. The correct cost of the lot is now $17,040 (but I’m too lazy to update the main screen).
