Unexpectedly, his wish for freedom is granted when Bartholomew Kuma appears and throws a powerful punch at the Gorosei, knocking him into a building.

Sanji is shocked.

Bartholomew Kuma... is a cyborg...

And he just appeared out of nowhere to save his daughter...

How is this possible?

Even though Sanji is finally able to move, he stays still on his knees, staring at the image of Kuma turning to Bonney and trudging toward her.

Finally, he hugs her.

Yes, he hugs her… like a cold, emotionless cyborg could never do.

Sanji struggles to understand what the hell is going on.

This doesn't make sense at all…

"I-it's not possible…" Vegapunk mutters, watching that same scene. "Kuma shouldn't be here… he's not programmed to feel concern for his daughter, nor fear, nor fury… he's supposed to be a tool of the government, without conscience, without will…"

"Maybe… this is proof that your science isn't infallible…" Sanji replies, unable to tear his eyes from that embrace.

Vegapunk shakes his head. "No, Sanji, this is proof that there's a power stronger than science itself, an irrational, inexplicable power that makes even the impossible possible…"

"What are you talking about?"

“I’m talking about the power of love. Something I bet you know very well, right?”
