In 1983 while JFK Jr was a college student he sat down for a photo shoot with his university classmate Jane Drummond

These photos were released a year after John’s Death and they were on the cover of US weekly magazine

The photographer, Jane Drummond, remembers the electrically charged photo session this way: “I was beside myself with the thrill of it all; mostly the thought of having John in my bedroom, but more so his willingness to sit for me.”

Drummond said at the time that she had chosen to keep the photoshoot a secret while her friend was alive out of respect for his privacy, though not because she thought he would be ashamed. “He wouldn’t object to their publication now for the same reasons he sat for the photos,” she told US Weekly at the time. “He was very self-confident and somewhat of an exhibitionist. He was clearly comfortable with his body, his beauty, his fame and his impact on people-especially women.”
