This is a head cannon is when Asriel left for collage, (and also Toriel and Asgore broke up around the same time) and bc Asriel isn't there anymore they start to have horrible night terrors again and only Toriel can comfort them this leads to toriel becoming overly attentive in Kris's life and controlling leading to the disconnect we see in deltarune. this is based of is bc kris has bad / fearful reactions to other humans on opening the how to care for humans book. thanks for viewing my art and have an amazing day <3
