I am still giddy over the fact that we got a line confirming Mac is still lusting after Dennis, ngl.

Like of course I never thought he was over him, but after EMTs I was a little worried that Mac's peanut brain had worked so hard to mend his relationship with Dennis he had actually managed to shut all of those thoughts out.

But no, he still wants him, is conscious of that fact, he just is actually listening. Actually respecting Dennis' autonomy and keeping those feelings to himself, redirecting his lust toward anyone and everything else.. seemingly at his detriment, considering what he revealed in Dog Track.

He's telling Dennis about guys he finds hot (to Dennis' dismay, might I add), but he's admittedly not getting joy out of sleeping around, that isn't actually what he wants. He still wants Dennis and he knows that, he just now seems to equally understand that his relentless pursuit of him was only harming them both. Now, he and Dennis are closer than ever as a result of Mac redirecting his lust to only harm himself, all in the wake of Dennis coming to realisations about his own sexual pursuits.
