I want to be in a relationship so badly but I'm scared my brain will somehow fuck it up

Like one of my first (or my first) serious relationship was ruined by me and some specific trauma resurfacing and my inability to talk to my partner due to anxiety or something (I really don't have a good excuse, ik i was an asshole to her for that) and ended up with me breaking it off and us staying friends

And i don't want something like that again, like what if my brain ends up correlating relationships with negative memories and makes me stray away from them despite wanting them so badly? What if I can't talk to a future partner, or even worse I actually ipen up to the wrong person and find myself in some sort of toxic, trauma-bonded relationship that coukd make my mental state worse?
