controversial post. cas/dean/crowley love triangle better than cas/dean/benny love triangle. this is because
cas and crowley are ACTIVELY competing for dean’s affection. benny gets firmly relegated to side piece as soon as cas shows up and he’s like, fairly chill about it. sure he’s petty to cas but he’s mostly entertained that he’s been embroiled in a very complicated breakup that’s not a breakup. cas and crowley on the other hand are fighting over who gets to open the door for dean. we just didn’t see it because it wasn’t relevant to the story.
cas + crowley is mutual antagonism that turns into one sided antagonism. also there’s hashtag #history to them hating each other. the development from a whore is a whore is a whore to the smug shotgun scene to cas calling dean to be like “dean can you please show up i dont want to hang out and get margaritas with him anymore please”. benny quite literally never.
i love vampires but angel and demon both getting excommunicated from heaven AND hell because they love a human is just better than a vampire making a fun human friend. sorry benny
@sunforgrace spiritually benny’s roommate dean moved in after his husband was ambiguously lost at sea and benny is like damn that sucks wanna be fwb tho. and then they are till dean’s long lost fucked up husband shows up again and benny is like. oh i am going to cause problems on purpose because it’s funny when the gay angel gets mean.
crowley on the other hand feels like he’s made final two on the bachelor and he WILL ace hometowns he WILL have a heartwarming date where they park the car in a field and look at stars he IS going to get married on national television and he is going to make sure the entire process of him beating cas will make exquisite reality television.
