it came along with being the youngest, the constant worrying from the older members that is. so the smile that’s somewhat forced resting at lily’s lips is more for the older woman than an actual expression of the emotions she’s feeling right now. sadness, fear, nervousness, anger, she’s feeling it all. however, lily’s silently praying that the other buys her little act. but truthfully, she’s starting to feel it, the soreness in her neck and back. “unnie, you’re being dramatic. it was just a little fender bender. i wasn’t close to death at all.” a low, short chuckle escapes and she makes her way to the older woman who’s currenlty in the kitchen.
it definitely could have been worse, and she’s grateful that it wasn’t. if so, she probably wouldn’t have been able to opt out of going to the hospital to get checked out. due to her fear of them, she’d decided that a little ibuprofen would be all she needed. lily was more upset about her baby, her beloved vehicle, than anything else, but food would definitely brighten her mood. “is it almost ready? unnie, i’m starving!” she says, the tone of her voice a little higher than usual as her arms come up to snake around sukja’s waist, there’s a small pout at her lips as she rests her head on the female’s shoulder.
Even for Sujka, she’s overreacting. But it isn’t like it was for no reason, either. From the moment she heard of the accident her member was in, no matter how minor it was reported to be, she was launched into a panic. The older woman’s mind was instantaneously filled with flashbacks from 2012-- from when their fourth member left them, and the reasoning behind it. The miscarriage that resulted from what? A car accident. So even if it was minor as she was reassured many a time, and that hardly a hair was messed up on the maknae’s head, Sukja can’t help it when tears well up in her eyes as she fusses over her, the food she had been preparing before the other arrived having been momentarily forgotten.
“ And you swear you’re okay? Lily-yah, don’t lie to me. ” her voice is trembling slightly, and her hands along with it as she reaches up to gently cup the younger’s face between them, turning it carefully to the side as if she were assessing the damage that wasn’t there. The only reason she dares to pull away is the loud sizzling of the meat she’d been grilling, a sure sign that should she not flip it over soon it would most likely burn. Lily’s presence does a little to quell her nerves, though that worry is still there. She flips the meat over as she relaxes into the other’s hold, heaving a soft sigh before she spoke. “ It’ll take a few more minutes. But tell me, did you see a doctor or anything? Anyone at all? Did you get a pass to come home even from a paramedic or something? Don’t make me go out and get a medical degree just so I can make sure you’re okay and take care of you, because I will. ”
