It’s not surprise why Bee is part Robot
So everyone who has watched Bee and Puppycat has been surprised in one way or another. Especially since the last episode was added onto VRV. But I’m looking back at previous episodes and they aren’t just slice of life fillers. With everyone questioning why it’s not in a clean cut story line, you have to look back and think in order to look at the big picture.
For starters, let’s look at the first couple of episodes
Okay, so one of the obvious clues can be found in Food Farmer. Her soul didn’t get sucked by the cherry because she doesn't have a soul. That’s why the farmer was so shocked she came back.He thought she would die.
Another hint is that in the episode Beach Cats, she constantly makes a fuss about how she hates water. If I was her, I wouldn’t want to get my circuits fried either
However, it’s her dream that holds the more emotional scars
Puppycat is surrounded by water. She’s reaching for a place she knows she shouldn’t reach. Putting her hand in the water may essentially hurt herself and Puppycat. That’s why everything sparks up before she wakes up. But there is just something that mesmerizes her to forget about what will happen. She just does it because she wants to know him, even if it’s out of her comfort zone.
In Birthday Game, it becomes even more clear.
Her Dad is an inventor. He created a bunch of arcade games and even a Dad box. But inventing is no fun unless there is someone who can appreciate his work with him. So he made someone who could. That someone was Bee. Although I do think he truly loved his daughter, one of his games stuck out to me.
Now I could just be overthinking all of this, but the game that Bee wanted to play repeats a specific quote:
“Please help me fill my dark heart with stars!”
This is Bee. This is Bee asking to have her dark heart filled with something she wants but thought didn’t she have
and you know who helps her find that something
and I’ll explain what I mean in a bit
Finally, let’s compare the Pilot with the latest episode
The resemblance is uncanny. Ribbons flying right out of Bee’s wrists. And the reason why they are even shown it in the first place is because of Puppycat. Puppycat is the one having her show her true self. But what really makes this so interesting is what Bee says in her dream during the Pilot
It makes her sad because she’s different. It makes her sad because it’s what makes her feel that she shouldn’t exist. Because she is different. because she feels like a disappointment
But the thing is, what she sees herself as a loser, others see her as something special. Especially Puppycat
He takes the time to understand where she’s coming from. They both are in situations they don’t really want to be in. Puppycat was cursed and Bee was made something she wish she wasn’t, just like Puppycat. But they make it work. They know that they need to be more open with each other, and Puppycat doesn’t hesitate to do so because he knows Bee. He knows Bee as herself and not as a Robot. He is helping her realize she is not a loser or a failure, but an individual that can be amazing no matter who she is or what she dose. Even if she is a little different. He helps her find those stars in her heart
