I actually hate the Russo Brothers so much for what they’ve done with Steve’s arc.

cause wdym one of the most selfless, caring, honest, fair people, who has given himself to the fullest in every battle even before the serum, who has done everything in his power to protect people, who has forged his docs to willingly go to war cause he couldn’t stand innocents dying and him not being able to help, who has sacrificed himself, his peace, comfort and life more than once for the sake of others, who has single-handedly saved Bucky from captivity and was actually ready to march all the way to h.y.d.r.a base on foot, who almost died letting Bucky beat him to death willingly just so he made sure Bucky remembered him, who was against the sokovia accords from minute one, who casually chatted with Peter during the airport fight cause he saw he was just a kid, who became an outlaw because of Bucky, who gave up his shield for Bucky, who fought Tony (one of his closest friends, mind you) for Bucky but still was the first one to connect with Tony after the cw, who checked on Nat every time he was around, who said “language”, who lost two of his closest and best friends after the endgame, who knew the world Bucky was going to face after the endgame, who knew the consequences of playing with time ……….

just … went for it? took his shot? at a girl at who’s funeral he’d been?! whose niece he kinda dated?! who, he knew, lived her own life, had a family, kids?! instead of, jee, idk, maybe helping out Buck figure his _finally_ not where’s-the-fight life out?!and helping out Sam with his new responsibilities as Cap?! and maybe giving Nat a proper funeral?! or going to the s.w.o.r.d. base and teaming up with Fury and Carol.?!

but no. you’ve wanted to give him one “selfish” deed, that he’d do just for himself, and THAT’s what you went with? with THE thing that now makes him responsible for the doomsday?! ?!

and now, instead of bringing back Carol or Wanda or America or Monica to defeat Doom, you just gonna bring Steve back and blame him for everything. because of your ass decision everything is going to shit.

don’t get me wrong here. I will love marvel till the day I die. and Steven Grant Rogers is one of my favourite characters of all time. I loved every single mcu project after endgame and Russo’s are really good at making great movies.

however. if there is one thing I will never forgive them for, then it is Steve’s endgame arc.

So my friend has a theory that Cap will be HYDRA Cap in Dooms Day. If that is correct, then fanfic wise it could set up a wonderful opportunity for fics about Bucky saving Steve from HYDRA, just like Steve did for him.

Like: "You are my friend and I don't care how much HYDRA broke you because I have been broken by them before and you were there to help me heal so I will be there for you now and always until the end of the line"

Steve would be so much more stubborn and think he's in the right and Bucky would just look at him and sigh and grab him by the back of his shirt and drag him away

Bucky wouldn't have to use a clamp to hold Steve down, he'd just pin him with his metal arm
