Goblin slayer fan theory
First the entire story is a d&d campaign
Second the three adventures that accompany goblin slayer are the characters of the same players that die in the first two chapters and you can tell who is who
This guy switched to playing the dwarf his initial character was designed around being able to dispatch a single enemy at a time and was swiftly taken apart by a small horde so he switched to a spell caster with more aoe spells like stupor and rock blast to avoid dieing the same way
The fighter switched to a ranger trying to avoid more fatal close combat senarios
And the mage still wanted to play a spell caster but thought it was unfair that she automatically failed all her death saves because she was poisoned so she changed her race to a lizard man for a natural poison resistance
Goblin slayers player was running late to their first session heâs a more experienced long time player that was supposed to show the newbies the ropes of this particular dm whoâs a little cruel but very open to player fuckery they were impatient and started without him and you can see the dm break kayfabe a bit by suggesting it might be a good idea to wait for one more party member
