Tuff - Minecraft

Tuff can generate in the Overworld in the form of blobs. Tuff attempts to generate 2 times per chunk in blobs of size 0-862, from elevations -63 to 16, in all biomes. Additionally, tuff can generate in an ore vein that consists of iron ore below Y=0. (not affiliated with Mojang, i just reblog Minecraft stuff i like)

It is with a heavy heart that I learn the Minecraft movie is going to be absolutely nothing like The Island (2017) by Max Brooks

heres what im guessing the plot of the movie will be.

it will be an almost complete ripoff of jumanji, where the. players?? will find an old ass computer or somthing that will light up a portal and they'll be sucked in the game for some reason. the portal will close behind them for no apparent reason and their only way out will be surviving with the help of 'Steve' who was the first guy to be sucked in and defeat the ender dragon, but the piglins will be their main antagonist throughout their journey. the pink sheep will be able to talk for no reason other than the movie needs a cute marketable mascot to sell toys of. they'll make 1 verbal reference to herobrine.

it will make a morbillion dollar at the box office and all execs will learn is that video game movies with realistic cgi backgrounds that look nothing like the source material and human actors sell well and we'll continue being fed the same slop in 10 years with the terraria movie or smt

I think this is my favourite Minecraft skin ever. One of the Beatles members. Like, whoever made this can't even tell them apart, but was still inspired enough to bother making a Minecraft skin and uploading it for anyone to use. No, it's not just any guy in a suit; it's clearly a Beatle. So specific, yet so vague. Love it.

mojang really needs to fix the aquatic mobs' underwater pathfinding because holy shit it is still so bad

frog wants to go onto giant lilypad. tries to go through a block to do it even though a) theres an empty space right next to it specifically for that purpose and b) theres smaller lilypads around it which it can climb onto instead

axolotl getting stuck on amethyst clusters, i assume because it sees the space occupied by the cluster as free, so the AI gets stuck trying to get there even though it cant. these axolotl have been stuck here for literally weeks like this without moving btw. there's also a dripstone stalactites outside the entrance of the geode that they get stuck on as well, i assume for the same reasons.

also, i had dolphins in this lake as well. theyve all slowly died, i guess because of the lilypads. they get stuck under them and cant go up for air and end up drowning, when they could just... move out under them and resurface. but the underwater pathfinding is stupid so they wont do that

The thing with dolphins is actually worse than you think, their AI straight up just turns off whenever they’re not being rendered so anytime you move away from them while they’re fully submerged they’ll just drown no matter what.
