I’ve fallen so deep into the Fields of Mistria lore rabbit hole while reworking Leony's lore that I somehow ended up writing an entire prophecy for them so I had to change a few things on this illu 🤭

It reminded me how much I love medieval fairy tales, old legends, especially french ones I grew up with and all the symbolism that comes with them. That's honestly what drew me to Leony and Caldarus ship in the first place and diving back into that inspiration has been so much fun ✨️

Anyway there may or may not be a certain Witch Queen haunting another version of this piece in my wip folder 👁️

One thing I really like about Moonlight Peaks is that children just aren't brought up at all. I know some people don't really like that there is no option to have kids, and would argue that surely just having the ability to say 'no' to having kids is enough, but I like that there's just no pressure at all. No implication that kids are the next step, that kids are completing your romance, that your partner is thinking about it. You just partner up with someone and that's the happy ending. It's nice.

that being said I'm not actually always opposed to conflict free fluff I am just opposed to the characters having their claws filed down for it. you can stick them in a coffee shop au it should just still feel like you sat the two worst most insane people on earth in a starbucks
