Pirate Oc(s) for DnD (ft @hallucxnating's cleric that he's in yaois with). A compilation. Most of these are from late february.

He's my Normal Human Rogue who goes by Eduardo Santiago and he's a pirate... Kind of. He mostly roleplays a pirate. He makes most of his money by doing daytime performances and night-time crawling into tight spaces. Usually. Recently he's gotten stuck with a merry band of idiots that he travels with.

He was born to a well-respected merchant family up north, to loving but distant parents and an older brother that went away from home to become an adventurer when he was 8. With him gone, the parents' expectation to carry on the family business fell on him alone. He didn't quite care for that, and eventually cracked under the pressure and ran away from home, hopped a boat and went south.

There he lived, worked, and romanced with the lovely redhead lady also pictured here, Carmilla. Things were going more or less smoothly until, when they were about 17, a bad fight broke out between them. They both said things, and Eduardo ran away in the middle of the night with a lot of their shared funds. Thus began his solo act.

There's obviously more ... to all this. too much for one post really. But it is very fun having a character whose big tragic backstory is something so mundane. And despite being a weasel I love him.

I don't typically make posts like this, but considering that it's pride month in the US (encompassing a majority of this website) and what the current political landscape is, I feel I should make one thing clear.

I love and respect trans people, whether they be friends or strangers, and I hope for a peaceful and prosperous month and year for all of them.

TERF/gender-critical rhetoric has no place on this blog. Feminism that is trans-exclusionary or bio-essentialist is no feminism at all.

This is just the place I post art, so I never before felt it necessary to make this explicit. But I want the trans people who interact with my art to rest easy knowing that their presence is welcomed. And I don't want to give transphobes any space to assume complicity or agreement on my part by not saying anything.

sketch over it starting with simplified shapes and put care to features that are significant to their Vibe

ideally, what i'd done with silvers: just drawing a faithful portrait from scratch. which I've got a ways to go on yet

Hehe thank you! The shinzaya bug bites me every so often <3 I think their relationship is so so fascinating and that they offer a unique lens to view their characters through. Nobody knows Izaya like Shinra, and nobody cares about Shinra the way Izaya does.

I don't have new pieces to attach here, but I do also write fanfics of them! And they're honestly some of my favorite things I've written, period. :]

Like i know u used to draw venture bros fanart like a year ago but do u still do it.

Sadly i havent Ventured in an age... i still love the show lots, but my free time has found other fancies

Id definitely love to return to drawing fanart of it someday, I just cant promise it'll be someday soon! Rekindling a fancy like that is somewhat of a commitment for me & I have some other stuff I want to catch up on in the meantime
