Sharing this to cap off the Breastfeeding Awareness Month Breastfeeding is a skill which needs patience and determination. Just like any other, one can't be successful without going the extra mile of sacrifice and perseverance. Thank God for the gift of liquid gold! Among all the stress life throws at me, breastfeeding, by far, keeps me at the border of sanity and what not. 💞 Breastfeeding didn't come naturally for me. It came with so many struggles that I had to mix feed my first born. Lack of information, determination and breastfeeding peers and supporters were primary reasons why I failed on my first journey. To save my son from crying hysterically and mine, I gave in to supplementing with FM. With my second little one, I still encountered common BF problems like plugged ducts and engorgement (OUCH!!) but thankfully, I've been exclusively breastfeeding for eight months now together with Z1 who's already 3yo3mo. Lisod man diay mag tandemfeeding oy! Ngisi2x lang ning mga inahan sa mga breastfeeding photoshoot, pero ngilngig sad ug gipang agian diay! As if one child is not exhausting enough, double the fun and chaos sad ang tandemfeeding. Kanang feeling nga pilit nalang ka sa bed for what seems like forever unable to move (bitaw, mga one hour or so every.single.day!!). That among a long list of other struggles. Di nako muusab!! Hahahahah pero char lang. I would do all these over again in a heartbeat if I need to. Life does get better. 30mins each nalang ko pilit sa bed run during nap time and before bedtime. 😂 How do I cope? FOOD. Sleep is life but food is lifer!! Pending ang house chores pirmi if not for my dad and supportive husband pud 😜 Breastfeeding is pure love manifested in action only moms are capable of giving to their precious little ones which is why I hold it in a special place close to my heart. And I, thank you! Proverbs 3:6. It is amazing how things seem to remain the same on a daily aspect but once we look back, all we could exclaim is how fast time has gone by! Those are results of the small decisions we make everyday. You know you made the right one, however difficult it was to come up with, when you find PEACE in your heart.
