Lego DC Super Villains Kent Clarkson

Kent Clarkson acts as Ultraman's alter ego for his infiltration of the Daily Planet after the kidnapping of the Justice League. His purpose in the Daily Planet is to convince the public that the Crime Syndicate are actually superheroes. In the narrative itself he acts as an example of fake news, opinion journalism & how new technologies have change the news landscape. He is often shown reporting from his phone or television screens acting more as a news anchor than a journalist. There was a time where Clark Kent worked for the daily planet as a anchorman in the 90s, this may be a reference to that. If it is or isn't it acts as a good way to show Ultraman's egotism, with him putting himself and his alter ego at the center of most of his own reports.

Lego DC Super Villains Sea King Nippy & Squidy

Nippy is the crab that informs Sea King of the whereabouts of the player character. His attitude reminds me of Citizen Snips from Futurama.

Squidy is a gigantic octopus working for Sea King and acting as a boss battle. I believe he is a reference to Topo Aquaman's silver age sidekick, as he was similarly sized up in the Aquaman 2018 movie.

The animal companion is a cornerstone of silver age goofiness and its nice to see it reflected on Earth 3. We are assuming that they both come from Earth 3 because Sea King seems to already know them before the events of the game.

The Owl's Nest

When Batman travels to Earth 23 from the Batman Cave in Batman: The Brave and the Bold Deep Cover for Batman!Season 1, Episode 12 we see it's counterpart.

His gun collection shows Owlman's lack of a no guns rule and his Owl Computer is the counterpart of the Bat Computer.

Although not seen in this episode the Owlman & Talon costume display case shows he does or did have a sidekick. The centre of the weapons display case shows an orange Nightwing costume which shows where that sidekick may have gone.

The "Injustice" building is obviously the taken over justice building and even if not named in episode it's place in the sky makes it obvious that it is the Owl's Nest.

Panopticon

The Prison in the Batman: The Brave and the Bold Deep Cover for Batman!Season 1, Episode 12 is a Panopticon. A circular building design to foster the feeling that the guards and your fellow prisoners are watching you. It is also a reference to the name of the Crime Syndicate home base that is the Earth 3 counterpart to the Watch Tower.

The electric torture techniques used are also similar to the Agony Booths use by the Terran Empire in the famous "Mirror, Mirror" episode of Star Trek.

Who's Heart Does The Scarlet Scarab Have?

In Batman: The Brave and the Bold Deep Cover for Batman!Season 1, Episode 12 the Scarlet Scarab mentions he has the heart of a hero and he keeps it in a jar.

So who's heart is it? With Earth 23 reflecting the main Batman The Brave and the Bold universe I think it belongs to Jarvis Kord from Fall of the Blue Beetle!Season 1, Episode 8.

The Main Universe Jarvis Kord wanted to take the Blue Beetle scarab and use its technology to take over the world. He particularly thought taking over the world would end all strife and war, not very difficult then to see how his Earth 3 counterpart would be a Hero.

Any time an Earth 3 Doctor Will Magnus comes up all I can think of is his undercover mission in Batman Brave And The Bold The Super Batman of Planet X! Season 2 Episode 9.

Earth 23

Earth 23 is the home in dimension of the Injustice Syndicate from Batman: The Brave and the Bold Deep Cover for Batman!Season 1, Episode 12. It is a reference to the two different names DC mirror universe has had, Earth 2 & Earth 3.

Promethium 90

The Promethium 90 is stolen from a lab in Batman: The Brave and the Bold Deep Cover for Batman!Season 1, Episode 12. What we know in the comics about Promethium means it's a good guess that it's Star Labs, because Promethium is what Cyborg's metal is made out of. Taking it could mean two things. That Cyborg's father never tried to save him or his accident hasn't happened yet. I am assuming that he is dead or uninjured because Cyborg never appeared in Brave And The Bold so I doubt Grid would exist on Earth 23.

Red Hood Origins

The Red Hood flash back in Batman: The Brave and the Bold Deep Cover for Batman! Season 1 Episode 12 is a reference to Jokers origin in the first Tim Burton Batman film.

Also I like the use of the Red Spade as the Red Hood's calling card. Not only is it a reference to Ace chemicals, but in a deck there's no such thing as a Red Spade showing his place as an aberration in this world of villains.
