Okay I know long time no see. But few weekends ago I experienced something very refreshing and peaceful and thought of sharing it with you.
Most of you know that I love adventure. I love visiting new places whether be it with friends or family. I love to explore. But to speak the truth I am also a very introverted person. Being an introvert, it brings a lot of anxiety in me to go alone or with total strangers to a different place leaving my comfort zone.
So this time my friend insisted on going on this trip and I couldn’t be more anxious but also excited for it.
Well, since the time I went to Manali for camping like 6-7 years ago, I fell in love with Camping and the feeling of sitting under the stars, listening to music and enjoying the moment as it comes with no stress or worries. And when my friend told me about this trip, well you can say I was a ball of excitement.
This trip was organised by United Travellers of India (https://www.instagram.com/uti_tours/) , you can check their Instagram if you like, but yes the way they organised it was amazing. Where to you may ask, well we went to Vela’s Turtle Festival and Bankot Fort trip.
The first time you hear this you might wonder what is so amazing about this. Well let me tell you its more fun when you actually experience it.
It was a one day and one night trip. We left from Pune on Saturday evening around 8:30pm and reached to our destination by 1:00 in the morning. The bus ride from Pune to Bankot Fort was interesting. The organisers started by letting us introduce ourselves and what we do and what our hobbies are. After a lot of introduction and getting to know each other all we did was dance to random songs in the bus. It felt like school picnic all over again.
After we reached to our destination, we climbed the Bankot Fort and then they taught us how to built our own tents which I never thought was that easy. It was a fun thing to do, and with stars right above us made it more interesting. But the night was still young. We enjoyed the full view of stars which we usually don’t in the cities and for a change it felt eternal gazing at the stars and trying to picture out constellations. There was music and lots of gossip and also the serene view of stars. Well I told you the night was still young.
Then we decided to at least get an hour nap before we had to make it in the morning for the Turtle Festival. So we went into our tents at around 5 and were up by 6. You must think such less sleep but let me tell you the excitement of everything did not let us sleep, we were quite awake. We wrapped up our tents and left for the turtle festival. It was fun watching the baby turtles hatch out and try to make it to the sea. It’s like us, when we blossom out from our college and our comfort zone into this world trying to make our place known.
After watching the turtles reach to the sea and also getting a peaceful walk on the beach and taking in the view of the beautiful sunrise and sound of the waves, we went for breakfast. Now I am a Pure vegetarian and while travelling finding a place with vegetarian food becomes difficult but they made sure we get delicious local vegetarian food. After our breakfast, we were taken to another beach. We enjoyed our time on the beach, played football, beach volleyball, and Me, I was busy taking everyones pictures, cause why not. I was like the paparazzi taking photos from various angles.

After a fun time at the beach we went back for lunch, and freshened up a bit and later went to different locations around. Its fun to roam around a different yet beautiful place like this and when you have an amazing company it gets a little more interesting.
And we were back on the road to come back to Pune. And let me tell you the ride back to Pune was quite some fun cause now all of us had jelled up together so dancing in the bus was on another level.
And there we were back to Pune.
This trip to me did not feel like a day and night trip with strangers instead it felt like I knew them since forever and it was something I had never expected.
The hospitality given by the organisers was great. The way they treated all the girls in the trip was quite amusing, they made sure all the girls were comfortable. They also made sure that we were all together and not dispersed into groups, which for me is like the best thing. Totally loved this trip and would love to go on an another exciting trip with these guys.
I would totally recommend you guys to go on a trip with them and experience it with them cause I know you will love it like I did…
This was one of the best trips I’ve been too..
