There are two reasons Yaomomo isn't a complete powerhouse. The first is that her self-doubt hampers her ability to react quickly, and the second is that Hirokoshi is too much of a coward to play that much into the potential of a female character.
whoever created that "katsuki doesn't mind liking boys as long as it's not izuku midoriya/izuku minds liking katsuki bakugo and wishes he was a girl" trope...thank you. i've been freed.
Reminds me a bit of a fic where Izuku is gender non-conforming, and when Bakugou and others are bullying him Bakugou never bullies him for that and would stop other bullies from using slurs related to it, which Izuku appreciates. Is that close enough?

If there's one thing about bakugou, it's that while he could be considered violent or even cruel, he's not prejudiced, all he cares about is power.
Every time something tries to convince me that romantic BKDK can or should ever happen I remember that it’s canon that Izuku had to bring Kirishima with the rescue crew bc he knew that Bakugou would rather die than let him save him. That Kirishima was the only one that Bakugou would come with without hesitation and he was right. And idk about you but that’s a special kind of loathing.
I have the idea of a group that say it can "find quirks in those thought to be quirkless," but in reality teaches people random specific skills that can be passed off as quirks to people who don't know much about the field they're from.
Perfect pitch is something that people are born with and often lose if they don't use it when they're little. The few years after a kid is diagnosed quirkless most would still have it, and with a bit of coaching could identify any pitch they heard, and to mix it up some of them could use note values while others use frequencies or frequency ranges. Even if someone loses perfect pitch, relative pitch can be trained in anyone, and what most do is memorise one note and identify the interval, which can be used similarly, so it's not the end of the world if they don't practise and lose it.
They could do gymnastics and then say they had a hyper-flexability quirk, with maybe a minor or secondary balance quirk instead or as well, with caveats and drawbacks listed just happening to coincide.
Some cultures communicated space with cardinal direction, not having words for left, right, forwards or backwards. People can learn to track cardinal directions, and that could be pulled off as a mental compass quirk.
People often underestimate the accuracy of the human eye, and with practice in estimating angles and distance, one could produce a rather convincing triangulation quirk.
If in more urgent or less stringent cases, it seems reasonable to produce a series of relatively non-invasive dermal implants with various uses, to be put in convenient locations. Quirks are weird enough that a variety of explanations could be had if someone set off a metal detector or a electronic signal damaged it's function.
I'm sure there's tons of other things that I don't know because it's specific to something I've never learned, but that's exactly my point. There are so many specific skills most people just don't know about.
Ochako deserves more springs in her boots so she can bounce around on all surfaces like she deserves.
You know, for ages I couldn't figure out why I didn't like ochadeku. I love Izuku and Uraraka, I love their characters and think they fit really well, I dislike when their connection is skimmed over or sidelined and I love reading stories centred on their relationship when it isn't romantic. Normally I don't make the distinction too harshly, and ochadeku ticks all of the boxes of a ship I could get behind, so why didn't I?
So I thought about it, and what I came to the conclusion of is that from the final exam arc to past the provisional licence arc, Ochako's feelings for Izuku are shown to do nothing but distance them and actively hurt Uraraka's overall character. (Also wtf Aoyama, where on earth are your priorities all you did was actively sabotage your teammate how did you even get passed-) that entire plot point frames romantic relationships in a way I don't like and don't agree with, and uraraka still figuring out the full extent of her drive and goals to be a hero means that putting herself beside him in her mind heightens her insecurities... it's not healthy.
Basically it could be another case of Hirokoshi ruins everything, go figure. However, I also don't think it's out of character for her at the time. It is harder to be open to someone you're hiding romantic feelings for, less likely to tell someone your thoughts about yourself when you're hiding the context in which they came about, but it hurts them, so I don't like it.
So logically I think ochadeku should come later that they need to figure out their feelings about themselves together before confronting how they feel about each other, but then I feel like you've got a relationship that loses some of its strength when it becomes romantic, and I really don't like that, like, philosophically... I guess. So yeah.
Would have been so funny if All Might had promised to give Izuku OFA after cleaning up the beach and then after Izuku was done, told him “There is no quirk. We just train until we get so ripped that everyone thinks it’s super strength.”

When people think/write about adult quirkless deku AU where he never got ofo and never became a hero, that he'd be all rage filled and hate bakugo still.
But I feel there's a lot of missed opportunities where he's not rage-filled and hateful but just awkward and weirded out by the whole situation.
Like imagine you're Izuku, you are now a grown ass man, you are completely over Middle School and all of the events that transpired there, you don't really care about Katsuki.
But the problem is you see his face everywhere. Taking the bus to work? Bam! Childhood bully on a billboard. Trying to watch a YouTube video? Bam! Unskippable ad of your childhood bully trying to sell you cookware.
You go on a hero forum to nerd out and you see a couple posts talking about how "Hot hero Dynamite is", and you just have to remember that this is the same guy who, when you were five, you were at a sleepover together and he peed the bed and you had to help him hide the evidence and agree to never speak of it again.
The whole situation is just so unbelievably awkward. And gods forbid you ever try to talk to anyone about heroes irl.
You start talking about heroes but then they bring up Dynamite and you have to try to change the conversation to a different hero without them getting suspicious. You're doomed if you get into a conversation with someone you find out to be a super fan of his. Or worse, you call him "Kacchan" out of habit and then they look at you weird.
And you're not just going to go around telling people that you grew up with him. Cuz either they don't believe you or they just think you're weird and still salty about your childhood.
You really don't care about him anymore! You just wish he would stop popping up in your life.
Vigilante Izuku, climbing in through the window after patrol: Ok, so, I did get hit by a bullet, but-
Aizawa: YOU WERE SHOT???
Vigilante Izuku, sarcastically: No, someone threw a bullet at me
Vigilante Izuku: oF COURSE I WAS SHOT.
"Contrary to popular belief, Izuku Midoriya hadn’t actually intended to do anything illegal. Apparently vigilantism actually IS a slippery slope, and the transition from neighborly, helping old ladies with their groceries, to leaving would-be muggers tied up in alley-ways… is rather quick and easy to slip. Who coulda guessed?"
