@minnies-new-start
Swimming?
Iâm down for a swim!
You donât look familiar, Iâm Tink. You new here?
I am, names Minnie.
Nice to meet you Tink.
Self Para Challange #1
"With the Gardiners, they were always on the most intimate terms. Darcy, as well as Elizabeth, really loved them; and they were both ever sensible of the warmest gratitude towards the persons who, by bringing her into Derbyshire, had been the means of uniting them." Minerva said, before looking over at Minnie. It was late, well late for a seven year old. But Minnie had begged and begged for Minerva to finish reading it to her. Minnie was perched at the bottom of her bed, wrapped in a blanket an empty glass placed within reach on the chest below. As Minerva closed the cover, Minnie collapsed onto her bed, out of exhaustion and excitement. Minerva crossed the room, and sat beside Minnie. "Did you like it?" Mrs. Maus asked, picking Minnie up and placing her into bed, and pulling her comforter up. "I loved it" Minnie replied, fighting off her heavy eyelids.Â
The next day Minnie woke up, and raced downstairs to talk to her mom about the book. P&P she called it, until she was about 10, and received her very own copy. "Can we read it again?" she would ask every night, leaving her mom to read it once a week to Minnie. From the day fourth, Minnie wished and hoped of finding her very own Mr. Darcy. And she thought she had until he broke her heart. Since the breakup, Minnie has yet to reread the novel, unable to even look at the first edition set that he had bought her. But may one day she will find the strength to stretch that binding again.
To the Sushi Train || Minnie & Vanellope
Vanellope whizzed past crowds people on the boat on her skateboard. She was surprised by the fact that no matter how many people there were around, they never seemed to notice that she, was in fact, breaking the rules. They couldnât bother reporting her as they were stuck in their own little somewhat fun businesses on the ship, she thought, picking up speed as she skid through the decks.
Vanellope wanted to get to the buffet as fast as she could. She was due to meet Minnie any minute now, to get out and explore Tokyo, as well as try out some sushi dishes, which apparently were meant to be yummy, although Vanellope didnât know that. She hadnât tried any sushi dishes before.
The buffet was coming into view now. She could see glimpses of families and tourists walking inside for some lunch. Outside the buffet, she could see a figure. A human girl figure to be exact. Minnie, and she was sure of it. She jumped off from her skateboard and picked it up. Vanellope checked her watch. âShit, 2:15pm. Iâm so late.â she sighed, walking over to Minnie. She wasnât exactly the one to be usually late, with her constant ability to move extra fast than others did. But she would suppose that ability only worked mainly around cars, rather than people.
âHey, sorry I kept you waiting, Minnie. Iâm not usually this slow.â Vanellope chuckled. âYou ready to head off?â Vanellope asked, tilting her head as she did so. This was the issue with most girls, they were likely to forget one single detail before leaving certain locations, and it was a pain going back to fetch items. Not Vanellope. She wasnât very organized, but she never forgot certain details, and she really didnât want Minnie to leave anything she needed either.
Minnie glanced down at her watch, noting she was just on time. She pushed the strand of hair out of her face, then decided to tie it back. She pulled a stray ribbon from her small clutch, and quickly tied a bow, securing her locks. As she did this, she scoured the crowds looking for Vanellope.Â
After not spotting her, Minnie leaned against the wall. The smells from the buffet wafted into the air, filling it with aromas of burgers and salmon and ice cream. Those distinct smells clashed with the known scent of tanning lotion, pulling Minnie back to memories of home. She had worn sun tan lotion daily for the past 6 years, leaving her tan and smelling of coconuts.Â
She looked down to her watch again, seeing it was now 2:12. She raised her head to see a figure speeding towards her direction. Minnie stood on her tippy toes to confirm that it was indeed Vanellope, who seemed to be moving quite faster then the other passengers. Once she reached Minnie, she apoligized for no reason. "Don't worry about it, it's not like the sushi is going anywhere. Yea, lets head on out."
Bonjour! Nice to meet you all!
Yup. And I donât want to disappoint my father.
Oh. I don't really try to think about what other people think of me. I'm attempting to work on pleasing myself, cause I haven't for awhile now.
Bonjour! Nice to meet you all!
Yes, just make sure itâs still burning.
Well of course, I mean, were gonna be on this ship for awhile.Â
Swimming?
I feel the decks pool calling my name.
Bonjour! Nice to meet you all!
I see your point. To be honest, I was more excited about the traveling point rather than the educational point of this cruise.
Then it should be our mission to put education on the back burner while aboard this ship.
Bonjour! Nice to meet you all!
Well, I can always go with you. I havenât really gone out to explore Tokyo yet.
Why not? I like learning. I guess you can call me a nerd.
Oh, I like to learn as well, I enjoyed it to a point back home.
But how could I ever focus on formal education, with all the knowledge I could gain from roaming the ship or exploring a port?
Minnie with Mikal.
Bonjour! Nice to meet you all!
That seems relaxing!
Of course! Isnât that the point of the whole âstudying abroadâ thing?Â
I hope so. I don't really plan to focus on the whole study aspect of this adventure.
I guess I can introduce myself.
Oh, I havenât yet. But, Iâll probably just stay on the ship for this one. I like being around the ocean a lot more than being stuck in a city. What about you?
I've ventured into the city here and there, nothing to crazy so far, just picked up a few nick nacks to send to my brother and sister back home.
Bonjour! Nice to meet you all!
Well, Iâm glad you enjoyed the trip! Iâve only been to the actual city of Paris a few time, but itâs absolutely wonderful! What was your favorite part?
Probably just walking around at night with my then boyfriend Mikal.
But enough about that, I look forward to having a nice time in other parts of the world with the nice people here.
Pride &Â Prejudice.
Minnie love's the story told in Pride & Prejudice, by Jane Austen. Her grandmother would read it too her when she was young, and she has read it every summer since she was 10. On her 16th birthday, her then boyfriend, Mikal had found a first edition, and bought it for Minnie. The books are the only thing Minnie still has that has any connection with Mikal, for it was the lone thing she loved more then him. They are packed away neatly in a hat box beneath her bed in the cabin.
Bonjour! Nice to meet you all!
I like your accent as well.
Yes! I live in a tiny town in France!
I've been to Paris my family went their on vacation a few years ago. I loved it.Â
