Day 025: Christmas Time!
Day 025: Christmas Time! It’s that time of the year again – Christmas songs on the radio, people wearing silly hats and jumpers – a time where we get together with our loved ones! Those who followed previous blogs of mine over the years will remember I don’t really celebrate Christmas. it’s been nothing but a depressing time of the year for me filled with memories of people dying and leaving.
However this year has taken a slight turn. My darling mother is seeing a lovely gentleman named Tom, Despite him still being scared of me he is a nice bloke and my mom is happy – That’s all that matters to me. Myself – I’m still seeing a woman from work. We’ve had a blip recently where we split up Friday 2nd December but we got back together Sunday 4th December. But since getting back together things are better. However I’m still fighting my anxiety – It comes and goes and it seems to be stupid little thoughts that trigger it. Never the less I’m fighting it. them two reasons alone I guess are as good a reason as any to get into the Christmas spirit!
I have decided to get a little creative… Since me and the Mrs have only been official for a short time… We’ve seen each other for about 2 months… So it might be too soon for big amazing gifts so I opted for something small, mostly hand-made. I can’t share an image in case she decides to read this… However after Christmas I will share what I did with you all… I’ve been told it’s cute and adorable and had many people say she will certainly love it… I just need to hope for the best.

I’ve taken the images and put them on a card for the specialists and our boss. I thought it would be a nice little touch from the nights champs at this time of year. They do a lot for us and although it’s only a small gesture it lets them know we think about them and hopefully let’s them know we appreciate them.

Day 024: Free Radio Live 2016: It’s that time of the year again that me and Lauren have waited a year for! free Radio Live 2016! As soon as tickets went on sale after last year I instantly brought this years ones. It was a really good line up too in my opinion!
Myself. Lauren, Joe and Lauren’s nephew Theo went this year. We headed to Resorts World first for some munch as last year we spent a fortune on nacho’s and crap that was never eaten.
Sigala, Little Mix, Anne-Marie, Clean Bandit, Professor Green, Dua Lipa, Olly Murs, Calum Scott, Craig David, Busted – Normally we can try to guess who was going to be up next but considering how many big names were there it was impossible to predict! Theo spent most of it asleep somehow until Craig David came on.

Work
It’s been a pretty good week at work. We have started using the new iPad’s so we no longer have to fight over computers! Myself and Ben also corrupted Vitalie and Jawad into the ways of Snapchat!
Family & Friends
I’m now surrounded with some really good people – Family life is good, My friends are all good, Work friends are great. I genuinely wouldn’t change any of them. It’s looking like me and my cousin Marcus are also planning to meet up for a couple of drinks which should be fun, we originally decided it when I was in Italy so it’s been a long time coming!
Ball and Chain
Recently I’ve started chatting to a woman from work. Originally there was nothing in it but then we continued emailing, now we are texting and arranging meet ups etc. I even got given “The Talk” from Dean. You know what talk I’m on about – The one an older brother gives to his little sisters new boyfriend! Yeah that one! But apparently he gave the same talk to the other person in question too.
Things seem different with this one, for two reasons:
I asked her out! I don’t do this very often, so for me to start the date part of the program says a lot!
She is not in a relationship! She is single – Therefore I’m not destroying a current relationship. Again this is something new.
Tonight we had a deep chat about previous experiences etc so I’m hoping she knows I’m willing to put in the graft and ground work. I told her about my last proper relationship with Kylie, My mental health and my teeth – for some reason she is still interested and I’m not sure why? But I like where its going so far!
